I haven't been all that impressed with Brad's - been twice, and both times, have ordered something that the very nice waitress told me wasn't available. Also no NHL ticket. The food I have gotten has been decent and the atmosphere is nice enough.
Of course TOT has a Calgary Flames jersey on the wall, which is an absolute insult. Potholes - what will it take to get that removed?
Brad's suffers from bad management if anything. If they brought in a competent gringo manager who knows something about sports, they will do well. I hope they address your concerns about the nhl ticket, as they have been hyping march madness with signs and everything but had to be told to put it on when guests arrived. Its a new place and I respect the fact that they invested money into the place (compared to TOT who basically hung a black tarp up as the ceiling and decorated the place with donated posters and jerseys), comparing the food and the atmosphere to TOT is like white and black. If they can figure out the satellite system it will kill as they have real TVs unlike the tube TVs (who uses these still?) hung up in the corners at TOT. TOT is a dump and its patronized the fattest and most annoying gringos in CR. No I dont want to hear about your $20M development in Jaco blah blah blah.
