Even Colin Kaepernick would turn down an opportunity to Quarterback the Giants right now with that offensive line.

Exactly

Everyone not named Rodgers would have been trash behind that line performance last night

hmm, don't think that's what i said.

I know he's a part of the problem, and let's face it, he has been off since last season.

Sure it's his offensive line, which can't protect the QB.

Now they just lost their Center.

But watch Manning Throw, he's not right. Something is off.

also, I'm guessing you might be a Giants fan, When was the last time the NYG have scored at least 30 points in a game ???
I'll give the answer since I'm a Mod at a Gambling forum, 2015 !! Yes 2015

Time for Eli to hang it up

This is a pretty good assessment. You can blame the offensive line. That's obvious.

There's more to it though. He's not reading or bothering to changing the protection or audible. That picture alone sums it up. He's lost his passion for the game. He's scared of getting hurt and playing like it. He needs to retire. He's done. I'm sure the Oline (after the center gets back) can improve and Eli might play a little better but he just needs to retire. That look on his face says a lot. He's done. He's afraid and he's lost his passion.

Also his passes have lost a little zip.

He was never and could never Peyton. Can't fault him for that but I always thought he was very overrated.

He won the Superbowl off some fluky catches by receivers. He had that vicious pass rush. Other than that he threw up long passes to great wide receivers and they've made great plays for him. Never seen him dissect his way up a field like Peyton.

I just never respected him and thought he was overrated. He had a few moments but overall I wouldn't call him elite even when he was at his ''best''

Time for him to hang it up.

Hmmm...where to start?

I heard Eli constantly barking at the line to watch this lineman or that lineman. It obviously didn't help because his line couldn't seem to block anyone. But the center is the QB for the offensive line (so let's put some blame where it belongs).

Yeah, Eli looked like a deer in the headlights after one of his sacks and it was caught nicely by a tv camera. I suspect most QBs would look that way when they were being hit, hurried, and sacked alll night. But he also ran for a first down during some of that and didn't bother to slide knowing he was going to take a pretty good hit (if he was that scared, I suspect he would have slid feet first).

Of course, all many people will remember of the one Superbowl is David Tyree's incredible catch, but there was a little more to the Superbowl than that catch. Who are these great wide receivers you're referring to? If we were to compare the Giants receivers in both the Superbowls he won, are they really as good or better than other wide receivers groups on other teams in the Superbowl? I really don't think so. He had a little to do with them winning those games.

Why does he have to be Peyton? There aren't many QBs that would measure up to Peyton in his prime. That doesn't mean you can't win football games. Phil Simms wasn't Peyton either.

What QB doesn't lose arm strength when they get older? Eli has never had the type of pass that Simms had. And he has been criticized for that most of his career. Simms kept a tight spiral that was able to slice threw the wind. Eli's passes have never done that.

I don't disagree that Eli should hang them up, but your comment seem a bit off based to me.

Hey man. Can't argue with most of what you said. I guess I just don't like him and I maintain the my stance that he's a lucky Superbowl winner. That catch in that Superbowl by..who was it again? Against his helmet was one of the flukiest things I've ever seen. Also, I've seen him just fling the ball out there deep and Victor Cruz or who's that other one? Hakeem? Buress. These guys made some crazy catches for him.

Meh, I just don't respect his accomplishments as much as many do. I guess we are all a little bias. But objectively speaking his career wasn't as bad as I make it out to be I guess.

Again, can't argue with most of what you said. Solid post. I was bias indeed.
