But still, the lifestyle here can get unbalanced for alot of people, mainly due to the high price tag we pay to live here. EX, we pay the highest gas cost. Fricken over $2.00 a gallon. High prices of home, with the median range approx. $300,000. Just a high cost of living. Luckily for me, I am have been fortunate to have had past relatives who made something out of their lives , which has enabled me to take advantage of, so I don't necessarily feel the hurt,so much.
But speaking of wagering or sports investing as I like to call it. Thank God for them Offshore Sportsbooks, the Internet ,and the Rx. For if they weren't available to access and help me save a bundle on this thing we just love to do, I probably would still be getting killed by the high cost to do what we like to do. Heres an example, local books here charge 20% juice on games. Parlays need to win all games as a tie would make it a lost. Same with teasers. Here, the teasers are set at 2 team teasers with +-6pts, 3 team teasers with +-9pts, and 4 team teasers with +-12pts, and they are a straight 6/5 bet, no odds. Multiple teasers with odds are set at 3 team to 6 team but with only +-6pts. No money lines here, and very limited action on B-Ball, and very scarce action for Baseball. Hell, the local dice game minimum bet is usually $20, and not guarantee to get odds on your front bet. The local Cock fights are minimum $20, but you can get money line odds where it could be an even bet, to a 10-6 bet. I wish Cock fighting was legal, I made more money Cock fighting than in any other wagering I've done. Strickly one on one baby, to the death. The only problem is, it is a very expensive sport or hobby to start up. Just for the Cocks itself ran me about $300-$500 for one. Before you even fought them, you were already in the red. If they lost, thats a double whammy. But hey, you want the best, you had to pay the price for them.
As you can see, if you can win here, you sittin pretty, but if you lose dam especially in football, you might have to swim to the mainland if you wagered with money you dont have. All plays on credit, and pay up and pay out day is on Weds. Thats why I like Offshore, its like Vegas , you can only lose the amount you have available. Still though, it just gives me nightmares thinking about if I lost a game with a local book, where I played it for $1000. Anyways Teaser Guru, you do have events where your from which we dont, and that I wouldn't mine having. That you get to enjoy all the 4 seasons , especially snow in the winter time and on X-Mas. That fricken beats soggy wet weather any day. Here, you can get fricken tired of the constant 80 degree sunny weather, inwhich the fluctuation is either by raining or by humidity. Hey, and you also got them Chesseheads and Bret "the Hitman" Farve, not to mention, you live in the state where Phil Steeles favorite College team the Wisconsin Badgers resides.
