So you think a ref shouldn't stop a play he thinks dead, until video replay proves he's right?
do u watch the NFL often? no sarcasm intended. the NFL stated more than once they don't want the refs blowing the whistles when plays like that happen so there is a true outcome to the play. its not like 3 refs said the play was dead it was one ref who blew his whistle close to 5 seconds after the fumble

If Calvin does 159/3 you certainly want to have him even if 90% of the field owns him.
But I'm sure the money is won and lost with the cheap guys combined with hitting on the top level guys.

I'll be honest, I'm not a big NFL fan, so I can't say what the NFL wants the officials to do. I do watch it though and it seems to me that NFL makes up their rules on the fly. Sometimes a catch is catch and sometimes it's not.
Yeah then they got the Mon-Thurs slate...interesting cause Ben is out and Vick is cheap but obviously that hurts Bell/Brown a lot.
I would think with the game in London at 9:30 in the morning next week they will have like a Thurs/London slate. Game is live on Yahoo. I don't even think it is on a TV network.
Next week Sun night/Mon slate going to be hilarious with Saints/Cowboys.
