His mother was a US citizen, does not matter where he was born.

Apparently its a bit more comlicated than that. But if the courts were to get involved (which they wont) yes it would come down to that.

Because natural born actally hasnt been defined properly.

The way immigration has been using, natural born means, having never been a citizen of any other country prior to gaining US citizenship.

Obama being a US citizen since birth--Natural born

Arnold and Albright--not

See, like Mccain he was born in Panama, yet Congress gave him the ok to run. Same would hold for Obama (but he WAS born in Hawaii--just for the record:dancefool)

BTW I dont believe this movement has anything to do with Obama being black. But him being a Democrat.
Clinton and Kerry was getting similar treatment

None of Phil Bergs cases that have been ruled on so far have been because of any evidence....The judges have ruled he either doesnt have standing or they gave no reason.. His case has not been heard in ANY court as of yet.....Just to set the record straight.

Biden might surprise some people and Pelosi would no longer be speaker of the house.

I think I could live with that.

Are you really saying the Constitution should not be followed because it might not be convenient?

What is it? A GD piece of paper or what?

I just think it's funny that the grassroots republicans are focusing on this crackpot issue, giving Obama the Chester A Arthur treatment when there are so many more reasonable things to attack the current administration on.

Do you believe the general American Populous are too stupid to understand and get behind real issues? I find it extraordinary that you would look down your nose at your fellow Americans is such a way.

Joe Jr is playing a faux caricature here. He doesn't for one moment believe that Obama is not complying with the US Constitution

You didn't answer the question.

I don't see where the constitution was not followed, so many credible people have come out and confirmed his birth.

You didn't answer mine. Is the BC issue the republicans best chance of beating BO? Or is it that they believe the US people are too stupid to grasp proper more credible reasons?

with the recent passing of walter cronkite one can think back to the days of subjective reporting. this wasn't an interview, the lady was invited on air for an ambush. the job of the reporter is to ask questions, ascertain answers and let the viewers decide for themselves who to believe. if i want to see a confrontation i'll tune in to the vince mcmahon show.

Lou Dobb's reported that the FEC did not vet Obama's birth records.

The only credible people to rule on the matter would be the FEC....while looking at a long form BC.

The American people have a right to know...and this will not stop until Obama provides the transparency he promised us.

Questions...irrelevant ,it's not about beating BO...I don't think the American people are stupid. Which is why many of them are not falling for the lame straw man explanations about Obama's cover up of his personal records.

Why can't we hold him to his word? Transparency...lets see it please.

So you're saying your government let a man run for political office with out seeing his ID?

Wouldn't the Hawaiian government office qualify as credible? I'm sure the freemasons are behind this...

And Lou Dobbs is more credible than the Hawaiian government agency?

You never struck me as a Lou Dobbs fan.

I think the only reason this has any legs is the summer is very slow in the news for profit industry.

All the State of Hawaii has done is confirm the COLB.

The COLB isn't proof Obama is eligible for office...and the State of Hawaii doesn't have jurisdiction on the matter of the Presidents eligibility anyway.

Red herrings and straw men...thats all we ever get instead of the promised transparency.

The guy promised us transparency...why can't we ask for it if there are questions?

Providing your long form BC...C'mon...whats the big deal?

You are either a liar or willfully ignorant.

Well, we've already established the fact that you're a liar Onion-boy.

"There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record," DOH Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said.

Fukino said she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama's original birth certificate.

"Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures," Fukino said.

By the way...who is this guy Obama anyway? Seriously...WTF? :think2:

AFP:

A leading Republican US Senator on Wednesday sharply assailed a White House request for supporters to help track "fishy" claims about President Barack Obama's plans to overhaul US health care.

"I am not aware of any precedent for a president asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed ?fishy? or otherwise inimical to the White House?s political interests," John Cornyn of Texas wrote US President Barack Obama.

"As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights," he wrote.

Cornyn was responding to a message on Tuesday from Obama's director of new media, Macon Phillips, who asked on an official White House blog for members of the public to forward questionable claims to the administration.

"There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation," said Phillips.

"Since we can?t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we?re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov," said Philips.
