not sure
but it could have been called.

PI.jpg

could have? I totally concur with that statement

It's probably called more often than not. On a rare occasion they'll even call it offensive PI

one thing is certain, whether it's a no call, offensive PI or defensive PI, the boys in the booth will say "it was a good call"

serious question for anyone arguing it was a blatant PI

did you not see the WR pulling the defender's face mask with the ball in the air?

is that not a penalty? why doesn't anyone address that?

The receiver was put in that position by the defender hanging all over him for at least 10 yards down the field. He was reaching for the ball !

if the WR was trying to get back to the ball, you'd have a point. I think he never stopped moving down field

I had the under so I'm not an angry det fan. That said...I've seen less contact called pi and not picked up. These refs have simply ruined the nfl

It was 100% PI under the current rules. I'm down for not calling it in certain spots because it happens so often but you throw the flag, call the penalty out to the world, and then drop it once Dez Bryant runs out onto the field without a helmet (2 penalties right there that don't get called), and then it gets dropped? That's fishy as all hell.

Argue the PI but you cannot argue this.

Bryant on the field off play arguing with the ref without his helmet.

i am sure if Suh came off the sideline and got in the refs face for a holding penalty on Detroit's O-line the league would be cool with that, right? NFL players can now jump off the sidelines and intimidate the refs into changing their calls?

If that would have been the saints that got treated like Detroit got treated today would have been the day I gave up football.
It was utterly ridiculous to pick up that flag.

And the fact that Willie would start a thread taking about it being a great call blows my ever loving mind.

I have seen less called it was pass inteference .. Detroit got hosed plain and simple on that call but Detroit should be kicking themselves for letting one call decide the game...

NFL officiating is just at an all time low. Nobody knows what is a penalty, what is a catch anymore, what is considered down, where a correct spot should be, etc. Seriously, if it is now on par with World Wrestling Federation officials now. It's that bad.
