one reason is just about All of the Mods are on the East Coast.. Good reason ?? probably not. but if we made it Later, the picks wouldn't get released until Late Morning.. Early afternoon... and Only JOH has access to the spreadsheet.
we also picked that hour because, like I said above. We don't work 24/7
Other reason.. JOH is kind of off the Clock with this and the NFL contest. it's not a RX Sponsor Contest. it was thought to be fun to have a Post up contest among RX posters without any "Strings" attached.. like a Rollover, Deposit, an Sportsbook account, etc...

oh and I did forget one reason.... It's just like the ones that they use in Las Vegas.
If I remember back when I did the Leroys, you needed to have your picks in 5pm Friday ( forget if that was Eastern, or West Coast time )
No problem betall, but is it really that important to release the picks so early. Not trying to bust your ball sack, but it is really fair for the boys on the west coast. Tough loss for us Navy backers as Navy missed a chip shot FG and an extra point, either of which would have given us the cover.
Arkansas sure looked like a good bet getting 20.5 and tied at halftime, but they got beat 24-0 in the 2H including a Pick 6 to lose the cover.
Similar story with Clemson as Georgia roared back to beat them and cover easily.
Let's see if Okie State can hang in there with FSU.
