He is the best example possible of cognitive bias I've ever seen in sports.

The insane mental gymnastics you have to do to pick him apart rather than just say "Yeah, long career with some failures but definitely 1 of the best players of all time. I still don't like him because of XYZ" just seems exhausting. I mean, that shit is for little kids.

Sounds like Trump or Brady haters. This liberal tactics Javy

No issue with anyone saying MJ is the goat. that very well could be; i just happen to think lebron is a little better historically.

but theres no credibility when you start saying shit like "kobe is better than lebron" or "kawhi is the best player in the nba", or "AD is the best player on the lakers.

Jordan was the best. 6 championships and in all those runs only one team got them to a game 7. Dominance!

Not to mention 6 finals MVPS, of which there was no doubt he was the best player in each of those finals.

I wouldn't be shocked if AD wins finals MVP if the lakers win. I would have been blown again if it was ever not Jordan.

I've always said the reason LeBron gets that type of rap from his detractors is because just visually it looks a lot worse if you are the biggest, strongest, most physically dominating player on the court if you are losing. It just sticks out like an eye sore more. Ditto for Shaq before he won in '00.

Whereas if you are Kobe or KD or Kawhi, you're basically just working hard for your pts because the D is better and not being as efficient as you normally are and you go down and it just feels like two basketball teams played adn 1 of them got the W. Ho-hum stuff.

Lebron is no doubt better than Kobe. But in my life time two players who cared the most and put everything they had into basketball were Jordan and Kobe. In my lifetime they were the greatest competitors i have witnessed.

Throw in Bird and Magic and you have some great competitors.....LeBron makes the top five

Had to sign in to see if the title of this thread refers to 2020 or one of the other six where he was the loser.

Heat are not garbage, but let's remember two starters have been out for multiple games.

I guess you can keep wishing for it to be so. Heat missing two starters and have covered 4/5 games. Rondo was a difference making in the previous series, but without him playing very well...Lakers are a two-man team against a better overall roster and against a better coach. LeBron isn't exactly Mr Clutch and now AD has an ankle to use as an excuse. If #7 makes it back for the Heat, LeBron may be looking at #7 on his Finals resume.
