Try managing a bunch of these entitled fucks once they are in their early 20s. I have to fire at least 3 people a week for attendance. They just don't feel like coming to work. Got this email from a guy just now, had to come back in this thread and post it.

Hello Jeremy, this is Brett XXX, I was informed last night that I had been terminated due to missing too many days of work and I'm extremely sorry about that and didn't want that to happen. I did have a rough week and I know that doesn't really make a difference. I tried calling you and Tim a couple times but I don't think my phone is working right... Anyways, I wanted to know if there was absolutely anything I can do to get this job back. I enjoyed working there and also enjoyed the people, I do understand that attendance is a big part of holding this job, and I have learned from my mistake. If there's any possible thing I can do to prove to you that I need this job and can hold it correctly a 2nd time around please try and call me at XXX... If I don't answer plz contact me back here.

I mean this kid at least says please, and has the balls to man up and say he fucked up. But come on. You "tried to call me"? Here's a tip, if you can't make it to work and you want to keep your job make it a goddamned PRIORITY to get in touch with your boss. Kids these days, smh

Yeah, it sounds like he wasn't expecting to get fired and realized he fucked up. No one believes he tried to call I'm sure. That's a lousy ass excuse. Haha

When you don't call after going MIA is because obv he overslept because of heavy partying/drug use/etc. He was prolly still fucked up so that's why he didn't call. Or maybe he was abducted by Sofia Vergara. Hey, it happens.

Or you call in everyday for a week because you're on a week long coc binge with a stripper in Austin who follows you back to Dallas to live with you. Then a year later you have to kick her ass out on her bday because she's a fucking nut case and the alternative is her taking a dirt nap which would bring on a whole new set of problems and stress.

I agree with everything you said. My rant about parents really didn't have anything to do with this topic. I know for a fact that I have kicked fences and riled up a few dogs as a kid. I never said specifically that this parent was a bad parent in this instance. I was speaking in general terms. I was posting my opinion on the thread headline whats up with kids these days (and their parents). You lost me when you posted can't blame the parents because God created them. Blame god. Lol. Well, we can't blame Hitler then can we, with that logic. It's all good. Again, I was speaking in general terms and not specifically to this thread. I'm sure you're a good parent. I know it's not easy raising kids. My gf of 7 years has 20 and 16 year old boys and a 11 year old girl. I'm around kids a lot so I know what a constant battle it can be.
