I'm not buying the fact that a peaceful place like that could exist without some sort of deal with the devil. I also don't buy their whole evacuation story. And like I said last week with those two gay guys, there is no way they could have survived on their own for that long. I remember last fall how Abraham told Glenn how all of the weak were gone. All that's left are the strong or the wimps they protect. In that case he was talking about Eugene. But it also applies to Alexandria. Let's just say I'm very suspicious over the whole thing. Where are all of the guards and firepower? The Prison, Woodbury and Terminus had these and they all fell. Rick has to know this. I know a few of the other do. The bullshit meter has to be going nuts with these people.

I feel like Rick and Co are the badguys right now....but we have grown so attached I want then to take over.

Kind of like cheering for Walt and jesse

The show is always exploring the sociology of this incredibly F'd up environment all of the survivors are in. I would agree that Rick and Co. are being portrayed as the "bad guys" now. How many times did Rick explain in this episode to that congresswoman that "people will do whatever they have to do to survive out there". Back at Terminus they learned that "you're either the cattle or the butcher". Rick and Co. have been constantly questioning themselves saying "we've been out there too long". And here they are now.. stumbled into a community that has inexplicably survived based largely on being in the right place at the right time - but essentially a group of weak people.

I think the remaining episodes of this season will focus on Rick and Co. struggling with the weakness of the community and trying NOT to take it over by force.

I don't know, there's something about that community that doesn't sit right with me. First, that so-called scavenging crew spends more time torturing zombies than they do scavenging. And also, after 3 years is there any chance they are going to scavenge anything on foot? Makes no sense to me. They have DC in eyesight from where they are, but they're going to go stumbling through the woods looking for food? And second, and probably most important, they have a kid who is sneaking out all the time and nobody knows. They would have been overrun in a week if they didn't have wall support, or something else up their sleeve. And did you notice how they were shocked when Sasha shot the walker? They acted like they had never seen it before or something. It was just weird the way they reacted, like they were nervous around guns. This town has that Woodbury feel to it. I keep waiting for a big secret to be discovered. That group is just so out of place in a "normal" apocalyptic society.

I am interpreting the torture of the zombie to be an example of weak idiocy. The ROTC dude is full of himself and thinks he knows everything. Rick and Co. DO know everything.. lol. As for the scavenging, I am pretty sure they said they had gone as far out as 52 miles radius, That seems about right for a 3 year endeavor. To me anyway. And I am thinking DC would have more dead to contend with, so they have stayed away. In the end, there is no right answer. It's a TV show - aqnd we are just speculating. It got us thinking though, which is more than I can say for most of the crap on the tube these days.

why the fuck don't these people do shit themselves. When at the prison they had farming action to get food.....if you have a community, why not raise some chickens and pigs too?

My problem is I've never read the comic book and so I'm clueless of what will happen next. I try to get too literal with a very fictional show, and then start asking too many questions instead of just going with the flow like i should. As for more speculation, my feeling is Alexandria is in debt to someone protecting them. But maybe Rick and the clan were brought in to save them? I dunno. My mind is fried after watching the last episode. As for not going into DC, I somewhat agree. Although DC is probably safer in the post-apocalypse than it is today...Ha!

I think the reason everyone in this town acts so strange is because they are all acting.

They are auditioning Ricks group to see how they react to certain situations.

those that pass the audition get to go to the "real" town

I think Carol flunked her test.

Glen, Noah and the lesbian are all passing so far.

Daryl is passing

everyone else is on the fence, if Rick goes after a married woman he might be out too.

You are clearly not a fan of the show if you think this way... I think these 2 episodes were super interesting, really funny to see these characters interact with "normal" people.

being a fan of the show, I can say Season 5 episodes 12 and 13 are arguably the worst 2 hours of television history. Everyone I know says the same or similar thing. I would rather watch Stephen Hawking do stand-up comedy or Rosie O'Donnell do porn.

What was so interesting? (Rhetorical) NOTHING. He shaved his stupid beard and they all live in a gated community singing kumbaya. Awesome.Pretty soon they will be getting FEDEX deliveries maybe? Maybe they will start having PTA meetings and have a bake sale? Maybe the kid will hit puberty in tonight's episode and Rick will teach him about the birds and the bees? lol.

The last two episodes are most likely just setting the viewer up. Let us see regular lives of people with no fear. Two episodes is enough to lull the loyal viewer - as we are now. Setting us up for something brutal is my guess.
