Kermit Now You're Talkin

Easy answer for me ... Elvis in Portland Oregon about 1957 or so. It was prior to his going into the service. He performed at Multnomah Stadium which was the Portland Beavers AAA baseball team's ballpark. I was still in my teens and it was a blast ! :103631605
Getting into my era. The 1st for this small town kid was Stan Kenton w/June, Orpheum, Mpls, 1953!! 2 sweet little blondes that night, the one on stage and the one w/me.

Dan Hicks and His Hotlicks in 1971.

Anybody ever heard of these guys?

I used to listen to some of their music. Never saw them live.

My first show was at the Filmore East. Can't remember the year but around 1968. NRBQ opend, followed by Jethro Tull, and Jeff Beck back when Rod Stewart was on vocals.

I not only go way back but to add to Elvis in 57, I recently saw Johnny Mathis in 2008 as well as 2006 . I also saw ACDC at newport Beach since my daughter was actually dating one of the members of the band. I got to meet all the members of the band and shared a beer with the lead singer and even got to meet Angus who is as crazy off stage as He is in on stage . Certainly this would go down as my most memorable concert but in no way the best ! My wife and I were probably the oldest people at the whole concert !:lolBIG::toast: PS My ears are still ringing !

Absolutely. I've got one of their albums. Two of the guys I lived with in college loved them. The 2 girl accompanying singers were described to me as incredibly sensuous looking and sounding.

It is funny you should mention the Hot Licks girls, Kabbage.

I had front row seats and the girls were not wearing any underwear.:scared:

You talk about a young lad of 19 years old not knowing what to do with himself.:missingte

Procol Harum & Dr. John 1971[/quot

I love that Lighter Shade of pale..Think I`ll you tube it
Procol Harum was a great band...It had Robin Trower in it in the early days. It was probably the second best concert I ever saw outside of Bruce Springsteen in the early 80's..I also forgot that when I was a kid I actually got to see The Who at an amusement park here back in 1968 just before they really hit it big after their album Tommy....I just saw them in passing and stayed for a couple songs..I was basically there to ride the rides and check out the tweens. Procol was my first sit down concert.

damn yall are old as hell. HAHA First concert and best concert Ive ever been to is the Hard Knock life Tour in 1999. Jay-z and the roc, DMX and ruff ryders, Redman and Method man. It was the greatest.
Did Redman actually put on a show? I've been to two of his shows, one in Japan. The 2nd one in VA Def Squad did two songs and left half way thru the 2nd. Sucked. DMX was unknown then but he crashed it.

I finally got to see the Rolling Stones a few years ago. They also put on a great concert. Pretty funny, I was sitting at an aisle seat, and all of the Stones had to pass by me as they were walking to their dressing room after the concert..These guys were all so different from each other...Mick Jagger had a bodyguard with him with his jacket over his head hurriedly leaving trying to stay as far away from the audience as possible..But Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood came behind him high fiveing everybody in the crowd..I guess when you've been a heroin addict like Keith Richards and flirted with death as many times as he has, nothing bothers you after that.
