I don't get the voter fraud connection, Bozzie.

And separately, I don't see how the post office could change Amazon's fortunes.

The attempt to kill off the post office is the biggest voted "fraud" going first off.

In a few ways...40% of amazons packages are deliver by the USPS Trump has always had a problem with the rate amazon pays the USPS to start.. he also has a huge on for Bezos money and can't stand the fact he owns the Washington Post but the rate has been something he's cried about for years..it's a huge benefit to Amazon.

DeJoys holds 30 million in stock in XPO a key logistics operator for USPS ,I've already mentioned the Amazon short.
Trumps attempting to delay mail through Dejoys actions and withholding or denying funds..DeJoy would personally benefit from seeing the post office killed off or diminished in some way. Amazon loses the service and set rates, I'd take it further and say Trumps going to take a huge swipe at Bezos shortly and DeJoy is in the know....Selling amazon then shorting it as deep as it looks like he did is more than suspicious.

I'm less worried about voter fraud..but more worried about out and out fraud on so many levels with this group.

It's disgusting ..this will backfire like almost every move Trump has made for the past 6 months..Average Americans like the postal service and need the postal service..this too is playing badly so far.

Who did you say your dogs and cats were voting for in that other thread, Bozzie? The Dems are gonna cheat every chance they get. They have always done that. Amazon dont have anything to do with this. The USPS is losing money because they are still paying for Chinese sellers to ship products to buyers here. Why is that still happening?

Yeah we cheat..at everything.. all of us..both parties.
That morality card left the station year two under Trump and the irony of a supporter calling out cheating..Priceless.

No.. it's actually losing money because of a nationally mandated health care fund.
You can blame congress.. not the Chinese.

Really? You dont think that the USPS paying for Chinese sellers to ship their crap to buyers here is causing the USPS to lose money? Have you ever had to pay actual shipping costs from that part of the world? Obviously not! BTW fuck you and your dogs and cats, dead and alive that still vote!

Friendly reminder that the United States Postal Service is not today or has it ever been mandated to "show a profit"

It's very existence was written into the U.S. Constitution well before 1790 and just like a long list of other government services there is no expectation of it being a "money-maker". Only in the trumpian mindset that weighs value of every human exchange in financially transactional terms is this even momentarily pertinent

The Post Office has lost billions of dollars each year for years. They are an incredibly inefficient organization with union deals that would make any businessman throw up.

To blame Trump for the Post Office's problems is simply crazy. The reason the Postal Workers Union backs Biden is because they are scared shitless of Trump, a guy who does not tolerate inefficiencies.

And to think that the Post Office could handle mail in ballots efficiently is just laughable. Everyone knows that if you want to make sure that something "gets there" you don't use the Post Office, certainly not anything other than Postal Express.

Just because it doesnt make money doesnt mean it should be run in the most inefficient way possible.

You sound worked up fella....
Thats not how amazon works ...goods are imported first not shipped from China directly... also that rate is for domestic only.
You might want to get your facts straight before you make yourself look like someone who's "uniformed"... to put it nicely.

USPS warns 46 states it cannot guarantee mail-in ballots will arrive in time for election

The report sends a warning to the tens of millions of voters eligible to vote by mail: even if voters meet every deadline and follow their state’s election procedures, their vote may not be counted.

The U.S. Postal Service has sent letters warning 46 states and the District of Columbia that it can not guarantee all ballots cast by mail will arrive in time to be counted in the November election, the Washington Post reported.

The cash-strapped agency’s cost-cutting moves have already delayed some mail by as much as a week. A recent decision to shut down 10 percent of the Postal Service’s sorting machines could spell even longer delays. Trump-appointed Postmaster Louis DeJoy implemented the cuts in a measure to save the Postal Service from insolvency.

The report sends a warning to the tens of millions of voters eligible to vote by mail: Even if voters meet every deadline and follow their state’s election procedures, their vote may not be counted.

The Washington Post obtained records of the ballot warnings, issued in late July by Thomas Marshall, general counsel and executive vice president of the Postal Service.

Amid the sudden shift to mail-in voting triggered by the coronavirus pandemic, some states anticipate 10 times the typical volume of election mail. Six states and Washington received warnings that ballots could be delayed for a subset of voters. The other 40 states, including battleground states such as Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida, were warned their current deadlines for requesting and returning ballots were “incongruous” with mail service and voters who send ballots close to the deadline could be disqualified.

“The Postal Service is asking election officials and voters to realistically consider how the mail works,” Martha Johnson, a spokeswoman for the USPS, said in a statement.

In response to the Postal Service’s warnings, some states have moved up deadlines, requiring residents to request or send in ballots earlier and some have delayed tallying results to wait for ballots to arrive.

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam accused the Trump-picked postmaster of trying to suppress votes.

“This is a deeply troubling development in what is becoming a clear pattern of attempted voter suppression by the Trump administration,” Northam said in a statement. “I am committed to making sure all Virginians have access to the ballot box, and will continue to work with state and federal lawmakers to ensure safe, secure and accessible elections this fall.”

President Trump has for months railed against mail-in voting.

“Mail-In Voting, unless changed by the courts, will lead to the most CORRUPT ELECTION in our Nation’s History! #RIGGEDELECTION,” Trump tweeted in July, one of many tweets on the matter.

Democrats have asked for $25 billion, including $3.5 billion in election resources, to fortify the Postal Service in time for the election. Trump has said the Postal Service money won’t be coming through unless Democrats come to the negotiating table on coronavirus relief and give concessions to Republicans.

“Sure, if they give us what we want,” the president said of the post office money during a press conference Friday. “And it's not what I want, it's what the American people want.”

Trump on Thursday said mail-in voting would not be possible without the funding.

"It's their fault," Trump told FOX Business’s “Mornings with Maria.” "They want $3.5 billion for something that's fraudulent ... for the mail-in votes, universal mail-in ballots. They want $25 billion for the post office. They need that money so it can work and they can take these millions and millions of ballots."

The president said vote-by-mail is contingent on the funding.

"But if they don't get those two items, then they can't have mail-in ballots," he said.

The president went on to slam the voting by mail. He said ballots have been “sent to dogs” and "dead people," citing states like Virginia, where he said more than “500,000 phony ballot applications were sent to voters,” and in New York, where mail-in voting caused a weeks-long delay in announcing results for some races in the state's primary.

Kim Wyman, the Republican secretary of state in Washington state where all voting is by mail, seemed unbothered by the prospect of delayed ballots. She said sending fall ballot material to millions of voters in her state is a “routine operation of the U.S. Postal Service.”

“Politicizing these administrative processes is dangerous and undermines public confidence in our elections,” she said in a statement. “This volume of work is by no means unusual, and is an operation I am confident the U.S. Postal Service is sufficiently prepared to fulfill.”

LOL. You are the typical libtard. You are either lying or just plain ignorant. Most sellers from China on Amazon do not use the fulfillment by Amazon option. In the listings that state the item is shipped from China you see either free or almost free shippoing. I suppose that you think that other places where Chinese products are sold stock them too? Like Ebay, Ali Express, DH Gate and many others.
You really should educate yourself before making yourself look like an idiot!
