I grew up near an Indian Reservation (and Lacrosse is the first love there) ...

... I'd have played if they had chin pads cause I'd heard one too many stories about practice becoming "peg the white kid in the chins"

I wish you Libs on these boards would get off your ass and go run for President. You guys are some of the most intelligent people in the world...How do we know, because you tell us....EVERYDAY

So get off your ass and do something about it. Go run for office, go do something to help your cause, go protest. Or how about this, instead of ALWAYS ripping on what others are saying, try coming up with your own ideas, your own suggestions on how to make this world better.

All I here is whine, whine, whine, oh Dubya sucks, he's a horrible President, he's dumb, (although he probably has a higher education than anyone here). Well,
GET OFF YOUR ASS AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

It's obvious that you guys are much smarter than anyone in the WhiteHouse so why the hell are you wasting time here?

... no but I'm sure one or two us managed an occasional A or B, so we'd have an instant upgrade in the OO

posts like this are a waste of time/logic. This type of fact-trimming for an agenda occurs in all segments of the spectrum.

KMAN,
I'm not a liberal - I'm an independent, but the absence of facts never stopped the NeoCons from "justifying" themselves

Hanson,
Juvenile insults only serve to weaken the validity of any arguments, that may ever choose to make. THough since you are seemingly not capable of making points, and are only capable of making simple minded insults, so I guess it doesnt really matter to you.

Hey I have an idea.....you should say I am a dumb---K. That would be such a profound and logical retort!

first of all, take a english class prior to posting in this forum; your writing skills are....juvenile (misuse of verbs and fragmented sentences).

furthermore, calling a dumbf---, a dumbf--- is NOT juvenile; it is actually quite post- pubescent. ironically, your statement about being juvenile is one of the many reasons your liberal party is falling apart -- you tolerate that kind of language from your children. more precisely, you fail to discipline our children -- i guess we are all a product of our enviroment -- the apple obviously does not fall far from the trailer.

Damn, I was doing really well containing my ad hominem attacks to a select few who genuinely deserve it.

Hansen, I understand that it is not germane to the thread topic, but do you see anything wrong with the sentence below? Or perhaps something a little ironic?

quote:
first of all, take a english class prior to posting in this forum; your writing skills are....juvenile (misuse of verbs and fragmented sentences).

1) Capitalisation errors (i.e., "First of all" and "English class")

2) Improper indefinite article use ("take an english [sic] class")

3) Improper placement of an ellipsis (and wrong number of dots!)

4) Improper end punctuation (should be ".)" when ending a sentence in a parenthetical phrase.)

Everybody makes typos, but to bury a suggestion that another poster needs to take an English class in grammatical and punctuation errors is fukcing hilarious.

This probably pisses you off and I am sorry; just riding the high from having dealt with an almost identical attack on myself personally in another forum. In that case the respondent was so desperate to poke a hole in my argument that he leapt on a simple typo: I misspelled the word non sequitur as non-sequitor and didn't catch it when I proofed it (a cursory glance of any of my posts here will tell you that I am neither the world's best typist nor the world's most astute proofreader.)

At any rate, the respondent, rather than point out the error (which would have been silly anyway) actually said, something along the lines of "Nobody believes you're as smart as you do, but if you're going to throw around fancy terms you don't really understand, at least spell them right. It's non-sequiter." Which is, of course, also incorrect.

Needless to say, I had a field day with that, and coming off of that to this just tickled me.

Wow, that is just funny.

Do you know whats funny Hanson?

I AM NOT A FUvkING LIBERAL!( I have said this many times) You are so warped by bi-partisan politics, that you just assume I am. My rushed typing skills may be easy fodder for you jump on, but they do not lessen the validity of my arguments, as much as the fallacies that are widespread in all of your arguments.

I have never voted for a Democrat in my life. Feel free to proofread my post. Hey it sure beats making a point.

first of all, thank you for the cerebral discourse; it is a refreshing change here. however, despite my current blood alcohol level, i disagree with you on a few points you made in your thread.

1) i never captitalize anything

2) "improper indefinite article.... actually, in this case an or a is proper english.

3) my use of the "dots" in my ellipsis is a laymen matter only (simplified -- consider my cogener.

once again, thanks for the intellect -- much appreciated!
