Exactly. You're going to do whatever you want and if anyone tries to stop you, the courts will protect you. This entire situation doesn't effect you in any way at all.
I think you are completely off base with this comment and your insinuation that people can still do whatever they want. Going to court is expensive. How many businesses can afford the legal costs of something like that. In addition, how's that going to look in your community when you are one of the only clubs attempting to stay open. I'm thinking from a goodwill perspective that would crush your business. It would be the equivalent of wearing a Scarlett letter.
Bottom line is the entire fitness industry has been crushed. Most trainers are not as resourceful like I am, having trained people at clubs and privately for years. And you're not exactly going to get a bunch of private clients right now if they haven't already been established. The latest thing is trying Skype type workouts which is a joke. In addition, masseuses and physical therapists are out of work. And what about the health care industry (or were you not aware that thousands have been furloughed)?
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idiocy of closing golf courses and tennis courts (two sports that can easily be played with distancing). Last weekend, all parks and hiking trails were closed down.
Anything dealing with how people like to entertain themselves in their free time is pretty much shutdown. Movie theatres, shopping malls, amusement parks, and of course restaurants. My wife and I like to eat out once a week and getting take out is a far cry from that.
To imply that there hasn't been a loss of freedom is absurd. Everything most people do in their free time has been shutdown or completely flipped upside down.
