Raiders did the exact same thing in the Rio contest tiebreaker. Raiders you are such a loser. It's ok when you do it, but when I do it it's wrong. Raiders you are on dumb stupid bastard. What's the definition of "bastard."

Journey-I didn't say I was going to play these plays. I said I liked them. The reason I did it was to give my self what I felt was the best chance to win. I apologize for doing what I thought was acceptible, we talked about not piggybacking, but didn't mention anything about fading.

Journey-With a lead Shrink only picked totals or dogs. Chosing not to lay chalk. It was a good strategy, but a strategy none the less.
Raiders has bended the rules in every contest he has played in and doesn't speak up if someone grades him wrong. He is shady.

TRK- I think that I'm only 5-8 not 6-8. WSox total was a push.

MFG , You know darn well picking early shows your hand however it can work for or against....Your reasoning is just not making much sense...I doubt anyone picks early in the round based on what the other player is doing...I`m glad you see why its not the way to play...I really thought everyone knew this was a no no...piggybacking and fading on the last day are basically the same thing in this format...

Journey-there is a big difference in piggybacking and fading. With piggybacking you could guarantee yourself a win if you did it with the lead. See what Raiders did in his contest against Shack in the Rubber Room. By fading I am only giving myself a chance. I am at the mercy of my opponents picks. One win and he wins. I am taking a big chance by not taking any big dogs.

MFG edited plays in the recent braggers contest.

Here's Bucs on MFG
quote:
i can tell you right now, i do not appreciate that implication....i run a hell of a lot of contests around here, and they are always run legit.........i am not the one who went in and edited a post after a game had started......and as far as what your picks in the outhouse were, that makes no matter what soever.......its stuff like this that makes people not want to run contests, and put in all the "unappreciated work" it takes ro run them......i very well may have posted at 9:39 am this morning, that has nothing to do with it......i did not see what your plays were, i only saw your message last night saying u may not be around......but due to your "VERY LOW-CLASS" implication, if another member of the contest comes forward and says they saw your post, and that it was BOSTON , then i will credit it.......but you know well enough, that if someone ahead of you has an edited post on the last day, and i count it, and they beat you, you will be the first to whine.....that is all i care to say on this matter, your "comments" have ended this "friendly" conversation......

MFG , answer this one question...could your opponent have waited for your play all day, and then took the same side as you? You did the exact same tactic, if you made your play an hour before game time and your opponent came inand made one pick the same, how would you have felt? My last response ...And them trying to reason you were taking a chance by doing this???? How dumb do you think we are? Your insulting me....Having 2 games go right or having 4 go right, ummmm gee what would you prefer

Jman- He does this in every contest. Here's more Bucs on MFG.

quote:
BUT I'LL SAY THIS, AFTER THIS DAY, I NO LONGER HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR YOU MFG.....

YOU HAVE SHOWN YOUR COLORS TO ME TODAY, AND HOPEFULLY THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I HAVE ANY COMMUNICATION WITH YOU ON THIS BOARD OR ANYWHERE ELSE.......

since this is supposed to be a "capping" contest and not a "what games do i need to beat my guy" contest...why don't we email the picks to journey and have him post them all after the last game on the board goes.

There's only one guy breaking the code of honor in this contest. Hopefully MFG will get knocked out and we won't have to worry.

I would rather not do that, maybe someone not involved in running the contest wouldn`t mind...Maybe the picks could be mailed to The General or someone not involved...The two way system we had in place, and being allowed to post 5 minutes before game time should be all thats needed to keep this from happening...If MFG`s opponent would have waited til 5 minutes before his games started MFG would NOT have been able to play it this way...

I thought all picks were supposed to be in one post. If we put them all in one post and have games at different times the same thing can happen. I know there is no perfect way to run a contest of this kind.

GIS there has NEVER been an issue....This was the first time all plays had to be in one post, (another complaint caused this rule) You get 16 guys and half the field wants to change rules , nothing was wrong and there will be a stipulation added in the next round , plain and simple!

As Raiders would say: "There is no rule against what I did." I did what I thought gave me the best chance to win, and it was not against the rules. There are several ways to change this and make them rules. We could use Playersonly69 suggestion to say only one person can take a game period. Then we wouldn't have to e-mail picks. We could just post them here and first come first served.
Raiders-I never edited a pick. The edit wasn't even in the contest thread you dumb fvck.

MFG , first of all , anything you say involving suggestions will go in one ear and out my other....This has never been an issue, how the hell can one person be allowed to pick a game, you guys are unbelievable, you wanna pay someone to babysit the tournament 24 hours a day too? Most, 98% would not pull this what you did was wrong and from what I`m seeing this isn`t the first time you have tried to weasle your way on a technicality...

I'm not going to win. My odds in winning were a longshot any way. I just tried to win. Congrats to Shrink.

Journey-Forget it, your being too stubborn. When there are around 100 games a week, and you pick 10-20 then it can be done. There is no perfect way to do it.
