doesn't matter - you somehow vividly remember the chat, but not that I checked the turn - clearly I am lying

you concede the chances are the money goes in anyways, but my play was a donkey shove - makes sense - just shows how you start yelling for no reason but don't have a legitimate train of thought about the hand

Again, you are the one who started yelling once I said "you overbet" referring to your donkey shove. Stop lying.

personally, I fold that hand he had when you bet the turn. I could easily put you on a hand like 7/9 there and how many hands can I beat with my k/10 anyway? He only has a min raise and half pot bet in at that point. So if he just calls you on the turn....what card is he looking for on the river to justify a call when you make a big play on the pot after his river check?

I dunno.....seems like an easy hand to get away from after your turn bet. Just my opinion but I've been wrong before and everyone had their own process. So I'm not judging what he did.....just saying what I would do

I'll admit that I'd have a hard time getting away from the hand there... hard to say. I just think shoving is a donkey spew, which is why I made the comment that it was an overbet. He somehow (???) thought I was referring to his flop bet (WTF?).

I tend to agree that shoving there is not something I would do either. Like I said, I'm in the muck after your turn bet. But the only place in the world where I'm conservative is at the poker table ......I'm liberal everywhere else as you well know.

folding top pair to a 169 bet into a 460 pot is never happening for me, in a freeroll, when a gutshot card hits.
if you are outright folding here, that is a leak in your game

arguments can be made for playing certain hands certain ways

Well.....I'm not calling with just top pair because of what it could cost me on the river. Even if I hit a 10 or a king.....if I feel I'm behind on 4th street......and thinking that no card helps me on 5th street.....I'm in the muck. I guess you can use the freeroll thing though. I just tend to play the same way and piece hands together the same way......regardless of the stakes. Again, that's just me. If it's a leak in my game......well then it is but its a play I'm comfortable making.

I actually enjoy seeing what others (like you, vitterd) think - discussing makes sense.
So you say you are folding the turn, after checking, to a small bet - so what else are you folding here? Is A-10 the same as K-10? Are you folding an overpair too since you will fold top pair? like JJ? QQ?

FZ says check/shoving turn is a "total donkey spew overbet" - but obviously he just yells stuff without any thinking comprehension, so wondering how others actually think about hands

So what you just typed said "if you feel you are behind on 4th" - so what would make you feel this way in an online tourney when an 8 hits? - you are just giving him credit for 7-9 and no other hands?
so you are folding AA - are you folding 2 pair? or calling? are you folding QJ diamonds?
just curious as to the thought process.

Some depends on the player betting into me, how much I have behind me, how much I have in the pot, what point in the tournament is it. I guess there are several different factors that determine what I do there.....but most likely I'm folding. I'm not saying you're a donkey or anything like that......it's just a play I wouldn't have made I tend to pick my battles in poker and believe to get my money in when I got the best of it and protect it when I don't. Just my style of play.

I can see someone calling an aggressive player with 7/9 on a small raise and then calling a continuation bet on flop. I wouldn't like that turn card and it would slow me down for sure. He could have called with 8/8 in his hand also.....may have played hand same way.....hell with that board ......I would have flat called your flop bet if I had pp 10's. Again, many factors for me but not enough money in pot for me there to continue. Again , just me.

understand your point - just curious to see for people who play your style what else you are folding the turn - if you are folding K-10 on 10-8-6-2, are you folding AA, 8-6 - just curious to see when you check, and get a small bet at you, what do people fold/call/raise
again, can make arguments for pretty much any decision - which is why poker is fun, unless you are FZ, then only one way to play everyhand :)

I never said there is only one way to play every hand. Why do you keep lying?

What does happiness have to do with me calling your obvious spew what it was?

You making rude comments about my wife isn't going to get you very far in here.

you keep saying I am "Lying" and using bad language - shows insecurity.
you are the one who brought up your former model wife and BMW - sorry I referenced them - stop trying to sound like a bigshot

ever heard the saying "you can dish it out, but you cant take it" - you are the epitome.

I should probably be careful though, I am sure you are 6'4' and ripped and were a part time UFC fighter or whatever

I don't think calling there on turn is a bad play......I just wouldn't have but I understand why people do. I might call there with AA but I'm just not risking a lot with one pair after the turn. I guess it's more of a personal style and I make mistakes all the time. I'm not married to any one pair after the turn for sure. I always think you either win a small pot with AA or lose a big one. i also think size of stack matters.....if I don't have a lot invested in the pot, I don't mind folding ......even if I'm bluffed out.....it happens.

Again, I think it comes down to each individual. Some guys focus totally on the math aspect of it to determine their move. I was listening to Negraneu talking about Doyle and he said " while Doyle will use math, he's old school and will just look at a guy and think, you don't have it buddy, I call".
