Baldo was bitching/whining in his video today that he took a push on his Mavs-Heat OVER play last night because he said he released it at 186.5 and it didn't go to 188 or higher until an hour before the game in Vegas and offshore it was all over the place and blah blah blah. I guess he's trying to sell the fact that he's such an honest guy...what a laugh that is. Anthony Redd had the opposite play on the UNDER and he took a push as well even though when he released it the line was 186.5. So I guess it all evens out, eh Baldo? Baldo was quick to remind that he personally won his wager on the OVER, like anybody gives a shit. If he did win any money he needs to take it and get a better toupee. Swung for the fences Friday and struck out, plain and simple.
Oh sure, my 75 Dime MLB Game of the Year on the Mets looked great after seven innings, with New York up 3-1. Then it all fell apart, as the Braves scored three times in the eighth to take the lead and twice in the ninth to ice a 6-3 victory.
No excuses, guys -- I made the call and no matter how it happened, the end result was it was the wrong call. And I feel sick about it. Trust me, I invested A LOT more money in the Mets last night than you did, but it's not the money I lost that angers me. I can take the financial hit because I know I'll get it back in due time.
No, I'm angry because my clients put their faith in me (and their hard-earned money on me) and I let them down.
All that said, there's nothing I can do about what happened last night. What's done is done, and my only option is to move on to Saturday. I realize I'll be moving on without the majority of those who gave me a shot last night, but those are the breaks.
For those smart enough to stick with me and give me a chance to make amends, I thank you and I hope you enjoy my two Saturday baseball selections. No, the 30 Dimes I have on the table today won't erase the 75 Dime hole I dug for us last night. However, I've NEVER chased losses in my career, and I'm not about to start now.
Doesn't this clown realize that the only clients he has are Benton Faders?
