Not a bad night, 3-1. Tampa Bay got posted a little late as an official play as the game had already started.
Are you fading these plays as just straight fades (all equal value) or do you put more on the games where the tout's are greatly favoring one side more than the other?
Oh, wow, you are right — although first pitch probably wasn't until about 6:45 or so. But yeah, I didn't even realize that the TB/Texas game started at 6:40 p.m. ET. What a strange time. As for fading the plays, I think that's open for discussion. I like the concept and I like the record even more — 11-2 "unofficially" — but for our purposes on this board, it's probably 3-1 (or even 2-1).
I like the idea of there being "stronger" plays, but I'm not sure how we come up with a rating scale.
I think it's something that is worth monitoring as we go forward. It will require some tweaking, I'm sure. The amazing thing about this current run is that almost every play has been on a dog.

I will wait to track this until you give me an idea for how you think I should document the plays to this point. They've been documented on the spreadsheet daily and have been posted at another Forum (2-plus-2 poker) and the record is at 11-2. However, there haven't been any units.

Well since it's been documented you might as well just use the 11-2 record.
I think maybe one way you could use this to get larger plays than others is by looking at how many cappers are on one side compared to the other side. For example, maybe 5-9 more on one side could be a 1 unit play. And 10-14 is a 2 unit play. Anything 15 or more could be a 3 unit play. Something like that, maybe. I don't know if they use enough cappers that you'd ever get a difference of 15 cappers more on one side compared to the other, so maybe 5-6 = 1 unit, 7-8 = 2 units, 9-10 or more = 3 units.
Yeah, what you suggest I think could work. I've also noticed that those who take a run-line favorite tend to do terrible. For instance, the day the Cards lost 15-4, two guys took them -1.5. (Maybe a run line bet can count as "two"?) I don't know. We'll figure it out. For now, let's go with what you suggested.
I'm going to go back and pull the games and then attach the units. I'll update it from this point forward.
