My 40 Dime play is on the Los Angeles Lakers at a road favorite to cover against the Utah Jazz. Checkang the sports books in Las Vegas and the Lakers are layinng two points. Always shop around to make sure you are getting the best numbar.

The knee-jerk reaction is to jump on the Jazz bandwagon for this game. They have won five straight games. The Lakers are 0-3 on the road. Everything points to the Jazz win. Right.

The Lakers still have edge in talent. With Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, the Lakers have more than enough offense to overwheam the Jazz.





On Dec. 28, the Lakers beat the Jazz 96-71 at the Staples Center.





The big difference there is the Lakers were without Andrew Bynum, who was serving a suspension. Bynum has had some big games since he has been playing.





If the Lakers had an edge, it just got bigger with Bynum added to the equation.


The Jazz are playing better now, but their win streak is a big misleanding. Their wins have come against New Orleans, Milwaukee, Golden State, Memphis and Cleveland. Not exactly the top teams in the league.





Bryant has picked up his game lately. He has been averaging 36.0 points and shooting 51.5 in his last five games





The Lakers’ defense will keep the Jazz down and the Lakers will overwheim the Jazz.

ANALYSIS # 1​

I am a big believer in the coachang skills of Mark Turgeon, and Turgeon in his first season at College Park has led the Terrapins to a 9-1 straight up mark at home this season. Maryland just had their seven game winning streak snapped at N.C. State over the weekend, but they did play competitive in that game as the double-digit underdog, losing by just five-points.





Look for Maryland to get up in their home connfernce opener versus a Wake Forest team that has not played on the road since December 10th. The Demon Deacons have struggled in this series with just a 2-7 straight up mark the last nine times these schools have played, and they have failed the math in four straight in this series.





Both teams look better than advertised as we head into the meat of the ACC schedule, but knowing Turgeon as I know him, he will have the Terrapins primed for this conference home opener. Fear the Turtle indeed, lay it with Maryland, as they stretch this one out late for the spread cover.





ANALYSIS # 2





Portland has emergid as a definite threat in the Western Conference, as they are out of the gate at 7-2 straight up, while going a perfect 6-0 at home. The Blazers have gone 5-0-1 against the spread in their home games thus far, and they catch the Magic playing their second of four in a row away from home.





The Trail Blazers have proven the match-ups in this series are slanted in their favor, as they have won and covered three in a row dating back to 2010 versus Orlando. With the trade talks of Dwight Howard still a distraction for the Magic, look for the Blazers to take advantage and run the series win and cover streak to four in a row tonight.

guys,
did some research and not happy. Tracked ALL plays of redd for december 2011.
Although redd won "only " 33 units in december, if you fade each play, you lost much more (-261 units)
My point is, they have to lose over 250/300 units minimum each month for you to fade and break even, because
the juice eats you alive. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Gonna track his Nov. plays see how many units wouldve won fading since he lost 528.5 units.

wow. redd's worst month was -528.50 in 2011. That would net you only 196+ units if you faded each play for units, at standard -110 juice. So it looks like you would have to hope any capper must lose around 300 units a month (straight plays only mind you, no teaser/parlay bullshit) for you just to break even fading. Am I the only one who sees that? Or am I off somewhere?

I mean I know they all suck overall, but they would have to lose 3600+ units a year for you to fade and show profit.

went further now, tracked ENTIRE october 2011 of redd. Even though he lost 259 units, I faded each play and ended with....being down 8.5 units. So a tout/capper must lose 275 to 300 units any given month for you just TO BREAK EVEN fading them, because juice kills. I can't believe this. And I am not even factoring in if you have to buy the plays.

Since the start of the Bowl Games on December 17th up to today, if you faded Lang everyday, only straight bets, no teasers or parlays, your record would be 24-9-2, +778.5 Dimes

Lang is the only fade you need long term.

I was just surprised what a swing the units make when you go though every play to fade any capper; I thought a 200, 300 down month
per capper would net around 100 units plus for the fade; turns out its not even profitable unless its more than 300 in the red.

I don't know man, I think your numbers may be off.

A guy like Redd who lost right around 2,000 Dimes in 2011, I would say a person who faded his every play had to win at least around 650 to 700 Dimes for the year. Hell, even if you won 500 Dimes it's still a nice profit. You fade him at 10 bucks a dime that's 5 grand.

But if you're looking for another guy that's as bad long term as Lang is year after year, good luck with that. Lang is an original.

pimpy, I took a sample of redd in the month of october 2011, when he lost 259.5 units as claimed on this thread.
Sure enough, going through EACH play and fading, believe or not you would have not made a profit.
What is essential to know is that for every 10 units being played by these chums, you lose 1 unit of profit whether they win or lose. Example: benton releases 10 unit play, wins. You lose 11 units, ok we know that. Benton loses play, he loses 11 units, you win 10. So whats counted as an 11 unit loss to capper counts as 10 unit win to you, and so on.
I think the reason redd didnt show a profit for faders that month even though he was down -250+ units is that he releases so many units a day, the juice really cuts deep into any profit.
Take lang, month of sept 2011. Even though he lost less than redd (-170 units) you MADE 62 units fading.

RECAP: redd loses 259, you still lost approx 8 units fading.
lang loses 170, you MADE 62 units fading

Clearly the main point is that not only do you need a bad capper, but one that releases less units, and doesnt go nuts like redd spewing 100-300 dimes a day.

Time permitting I am acutally gonna track them ALL from beginning of this thread and tell all EXACTLY how many units up/down each would be from fading. Might take a few days.
