The sad part of this thread is poster Billie Jean would not feel a tad bit sad if Michael Vick, (a human being, like or not,) broke his neck on the field. I truly pity him. The ability to forgive is a precious gift that Billie Jean for one reason or another does not pocess.

HBO had a special -- I want to say it was 10 to 12 years ago -- about Asia and their taste in cats and dogs. A person would select the animal they wanted to eat. I remember them showing a cat dipped alive into boiling water to remove its fur. It showed dogs being prodded into a fury because they needed to reach a certain level of adrenaline to be edible. That made me sick, but I was raised with the understanding that cats and dogs are pets -- some places they're nothing but that night's dinner. Vick spent a year and a half in a federal prison and was publicly crucified and bankrupted. After 2 years away from the game, he had to show that he still possessed the skills, had to be reinstated to the NFL (and we all know how Goodell is), and then had to hope that a team would take a chance on him. All the football skills in the world won't do a man any good at a construction site.
Not sure why there are so many references about being a role model to 7 year olds. Most 7 year olds these days are busy slapping their hos on Grand Theft Auto or uploading their weekend photos onto Facebook. I don't think there's much risk of a kid being influenced into a life of crime by a Sunday Night Football Pregame interview.

Would hate to see a family member of yours get raped or murdered, but I guess you wouldn't hesitate to forgive. Easy to talk when you haven't walked in those shoes, only then would we really know if you can walk your talk Ghandi.
