I could see it coming a million miles away.
No, I am not talking about the missed 50 yard field goal with 56 seconds to go for the cover.
When Memphis scored on the first possession of the 2nd half to go up 35-17, felt pretty good about my 75 dime winner on the Tigers to start bowl season.
Then I watched West Virginia right down the field in 3:55, never facing a 3rd down cutting it to 35-23.
On the very next Memphis possession I said to myself, "If Memphis doesn't answer here with a FG or TD, this game is going to fall of fu@#@#king 5!!!!!!
Well they didn't answer as they were unable to pick up a 3rd and 2 at their own 45 and punted and you guessed it, WVU went 90 yards in 16 plays cutting it to 35-30.
The teams traded touchdowns and then of course the missed field goal and boom.....the game fell on 5, with most of the betting world having -5 1/2 to -6.
OUCH!!!!!!!!!
Not the way I saw bowl season starting with that loss last night.
I looked at Western Kentucky/James Madison but both teams have been hit hard by kids hitting the portal of no value in that game tonight.
Instead I will roll back to the College basketball hardwood for college hoops winner #11 out of 15 and 75 dime winner #11 out of 15 as well.
It's Michigan and Oklahoma. Great game in the jump man classic.
