This is for you buckeye fan my fellow OSU fan, OH-
The Pick: My 150 Dime winner is the Tennessee Vols.
The Line: The current line is +7 at the majority of books in Vegas and offshore as of Noon EST. Be sure to shop around for the best line available.
Note: If your line is anywhere from +5 1/2 to +7 points, I advise you to buy the 1/2 point up on the Vols.
My Analysis
They can't help but feel it when they take the field tonight.
That word is PRESSURE!!!!!!!!
When Ohio State takes the field tonight against Tennessee, they will be feeling just that courtesy of what happened to them 20 days ago.
In front of the entire world against their biggest and most hated rival, the Buckeyes put up one of the worst if not THE worst performances in the rivalries history.
As a 20 to 23 point favorite, they lost the whole game outright 13-10, the most embarrassing loss in the 120 meetings between these two.
Now, that was a 5-7 Michigan team, with a defense ranked 4th against the run, 66th against the pass putting them 13th best in the nation.
Let's keep in mine, those defensive numbers were compiled playing against Big Ten competition
Now here comes a Tennessee defense ranked 8th against the run, 17th against the pass making them the 4th best defense in the country against SEC competition.
In the history of Ohio State football, the Buckeyes are 2-13 versus the SEC with Mr. Ryan Day going 0-3.
Yes, this is not on a neutral field like most bowl games and that does give Ohio State home field advantage, but that advantage meant nothing versus Michigan.
The Buckeyes are saying all the right things in the press about the ultimate goal is still in front of them, that is what they are supposed to say.
But deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, their offense got exposed by a pretty good Michigan defensive front.
And now they have to battle an even better front today, the best they've have seen all year.
The Buckeyes offensive line struggle badly versus Michigan and they will struggle badly today.
Now I understand there are concerns about the Tennessee offense but unlike Michigan, the Vols have the ability to move the chains with one big weapon.
The SEC Offensive player of the year running back Dylan Sampson. This Tennessee offense just needs to hold it's own and Sampson will help them do that.
I go back to what I said at the top. PRESSURE. No matter what you try to sell to us, they can't help but feel this pressure tonight.
That pressure will be hovering over the players, coaches, fans, EVERYTHING. That is what that Michigan loss did to this team.
I will force this Ohio State team to show me they can pull it off but for me, I see another close game here.
Just like the Michigan game, this game will go down to the wire and if the Vols win the turnover battle, they win the game.
This SEC dog barks loudly in Columbus.
