The Pick: My 60 Dime winner is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Line: The current line is -3 1/2 in Vegas and offshore as of 12:15 pm EST. Be sure to shop around for the best line available.
Note: If your line is anywhere from -3 to -4 1/2, I advise buying the 1/2 point down on the Steelers.
My Analysis
There is no doubt who the right side of this game is tonight.
Without question it's the road favorite.
In their 10 games this year the Cleveland Browns have covered just 3 of them.
Week 2 at Jacksonville, week 6 at Philly and week 8 at home to the Ravens, a game the Ravens lost more than the Browns won.
How bad are the Browns, well let's see.
They beat the Ravens only to watch the Chargers come to town the following week and hammer them 27-10.
The bye week couldn't have come at a better time to regroup, refocus, reset and get ready to play some rock solid football.
And facing the 3-7 Saints, you couldn't have asked for a better team to face, a team that snapped a 7-game losing streak the week before 20-17 over Atlanta.
Well, the Browns went down to the French Quarter and got destroyed 35-14 and trust me, that is a bad Saints team with a bad defense that gave up 51 at home to T.Bay.
Now, I get they are back playing at home, against a division opponent and catching the Steelers off a huge emotional win over the Ravens.
In my opinion, this game comes down to one thing and one thing only: Can Jameis Winston play the perfect game to beat this Steelers defense.
Well, 2 weeks ago against a Charger defense that isn't as good as the one he will see tonight, he was 26 of 46 for 235 yards and 1 touchdown....OH, and 3 picks.
For my dollar, I will go down swinging with 8-2 Pittsburgh all night long.
They are the better team, with the better QB, the better defense and without question the better coach all night long.
And that coach knows, to lose this game tonight would basically render the win over the Ravens null and void.
To the numbers: Not only has the road team 5-0 ATS last 5 in this series but Pittsburgh is 6-0 ATS when coming off a division home game.
And in the 49 games these two have played since 2000, the Steelers are 39-9-1 SU.
Oh, and in their last 34 outright losses at home as a divisional dog, how does 5-27-2 ATS look to you????
I will go down swinging with the Steelers tonight rather than back a turnover machine like Winston. Especially when he is facing a defense like this. END OF STORY.
Give me Pittsburgh all night long.
