Well it has all come down to this.
Men's tourney winner #6 in a row to close out the College basketball season.
I told you last Saturday (BULLSHIT) I would reel off 6 in a row and after I hit tonight's 4th straight 100 dimer, that will put the finishing touches on that 6 in a row.
Folks, I got hot at just the right time and trust me when I tell you, I am not losing this 100 dimer today, well I am not.
Only question is do I come back with UConn again or do I jump to the Purdue Boilermakers, who have also covered every game in this tourney.
Well, considering I have hit 5 in a row, I think you know who to trust with this Championship winner tonight.
Just look what this run has produced:

That is a pretty rock solid run but trust me, that isn't even close to where that number needs to be and nobody knows that better than me.

It's very hard to go against this UConn team, who has covered every MM game in 2023 and 2024. I think Edey will have a big game but the role players will have to shoot lights out in order for Purdue to win. I think it'll be close but UConn may pull away in the second half.

POINTSPREAD BREAKDOWN

Entering this tournament, the UConn were on a historic run.

Last year they played 3 neutral site games at the Phill Knight Invitational.

They went 3-0 SU and ATS with wins and all 3 were by double digits.

Laying 3 1/2 against Oregon they won 83-59, laying , laying 1 1/2 to Alabama won 82-67 and laying 6 1/2 to Iowa State won 71-53.

Notice the margins of victory: 23, 25 and 18.

Fast forward to the NCAA tourney and 6 straight wins, 6 straight covers and all 6 by double digits.

Folks, do the math: 9-0 SU and ATS on neutral floors versus non conference teams.

Now let's move on to this year.

In their non conference schedule, they played 4 neutral site games and wouldn't you know it, a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS.

The Empire Classic in New York they laid 11 to Indiana and won 77-57 and laying 8 against Texas they won 81-71.

Then 2 weeks later in the Jimmy V classic back in New York, they laid 5 1/2 to North Carolina and beat them 87-76.

Lastly, they faced Gonzaga in Seattle and laying 3 1/2, hammered the Zags again 76-63.

Once again, a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS with all 4 by double digits.

Now you factor in the 5 straight covers in this year's tourney, with all 5 by double digits and what do you get?

A perfect 18-0 run SU and ATS versus non conference teams on neutral floors and all 18 wins have been by double digits.

Which brings us to tonight.

I had a 75 dime win with UConn over N'western. I had a 200 dime win on UConn over Illinois. I had a 200 dime winner on UConn over Alabama.

I am coming with a 100 dime play UConn tonight. It will be my 4th straight win with them in this tourney. My 4th straight 100 dime winner overall.

Oh, and my 6th straight college basketball winner to end the tourney.

Now here are some other reasons I like the Huskies tonight to win their 2nd straight National Championship


My Analysis
You can't go against them.

I don't care if Purdue is a #1 seed, I don't care they've covered every game in this tournament.

I watched them on Saturday struggle offensively to score 63 against NC State and trust me, UConn is no NC State.

Earlier this year I watched them lose to Nebraska and they didn't just lose to the Cornhuskers, they were dominated.

First and foremost, Zac Edey was held to just 10 shots on the night, which accounted for 15 points and 7 boards, shot 42% from the floor and turned it over 14 times.

Nebraska shot 51% from the floor and 61% from behind the arc (14 of 23.)

It was a good ole fashion beatdown 88-72. I turned off the TV and said that the Purdue team I just watched is beatable.

However, to watch them lose to Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tourney semi's, it just solidified my belief that this team is very beatable.
And UConn is the team that will do that tonight and do it emphatically.

The Huskies guards are just bigger and better. Simple as that.

And if 6'0 Purdue point guard Braden Smith thought NC State frustrated him, wait until he gets a load of 6'6 Stephon Castle and 6'5 Tristen Newton.

The 7'4 Edey will have his hands full with 7'2 Donovan Clingan. Simple as that. Clingan is more athletic, the most athletic big Edey has seen all year long.

Bottom line, Purdue is meeting the wrong team, at the wrong time, in the wrong place and they won't be good enough to stop history.

Put me down for the UConn Huskies 19th straight double digit win on a neutral site versus a non-conference team..
