Nice to see a team do what you handicap them to do.
Unlike Green Bay on Wednesday, who played like dog shit at home, the UCLA Bruins did what they have been doing lately, play winning basketball.
Mick Cronin has these kids dialed in as they delivered the outright win over Colorado 64-60 as a +1 1/2 point home dog.
To watch him coach down the stretch, after his kids blew a 13-point 2nd half lead, to allow the Buffs to tie the game at 54 with over 4 minutes to go, was masterful.
The Bruins closed the game on a 14-6 run for the win.

The Pick: My 150 Dime winner is the Cal State Northridge

My Analysis

Going to the well with these boys once again.

Back on December 30th I came with a 200 dime play on these Cal State Northridge Matadors (+8) at Long Beach State.

One, I watched them beat UCLA on December 19th. I cashed a 100 dime winner with them at home over Montana State 3 days later.

Heading into the Long Beach State game, they were 10-1 ATS on the year having covered 7 in a row.

Well, they dominated the 49ers out rebounding them 38-27, held them to 36% from the floor and 9% from deep as LBSU went 2-22 in the 84-68 rout.

What was even more amazing is the fact Cal Northridge won the game by 16 despite turning the ball over 18 times.

After that win, Northridge won and covered 2 of their next 3 to bring their dream start to the season to 13-4 SU and 13-2 ATS.

Then the bottom fell out.

I'm talking 5 straight losses: Santa Barbara at home 97-69, at Cal Riverside 82-63, Cal Bakersfield at home 64-56, at Cal Irvine 77-72 and at UC San Diego 83-62.

Well folks, they righted the ship as they are now back to the team that beat UCLA earlier this year as they have now reeled off 4 in a row both SU and ATS.

A pair of home wins over Cal Riverside 76-70 and Cal Poly 78-65 followed by a pair of road wins at Santa Barbara 82-74 and Cal Bakersfield 76-71.

Now the rematch with the 49ers.

Long Beach State comes in on a 3-game winning streak of their own beating UC San Diego and Cal Poly at home and the road win over Cal Davis on Thursday.

That road win put them at 4-3 SU but 3-4 ATS on the conference highway.

Folks, I love the way the Matadors match up with the 49ers and I have no problem rolling the dice with them again in the rematch.
