My Analysis
I would be shocked if they don't suffer their 3rd loss of the season today.
The #1 ranked Purdue Boilermakers rolled into Wisconsin looking for win #7 in a row and 14 of 15.
They are coming off a game they never should have won as they escaped Northwestern at home in OT 105-96.
The amazing thing about the game is Purdue struggled to win the game even with a free throw disparity of 38.
Purdue went 29 of 46 from the charity stripe while N'western went 6 of 8. Even with that advantage, the Boilermakers still struggled to win the game.
Now they go on the road to Wisconsin to take on a Badgers team that is licking their wounds after blowing their game Thursday against Nebraska.
Wisky led by 16 at the half and since 2000, they were 120-0 when leading by 15 or more at the half. Make it 120-1 as the Cornhuskers rallied for the win.
I should know, I had Nebraska that night, an incredible comeback win.
Now back home where they are undefeated in Big Ten going 5-0 SU and ATS/.
They took care of Iowa 83-72 followed by the 88-72 win over Nebraska. Next up was the 71-63 over the aforementioned N'western.
They disposed of Indiana 91-79 before the blowout win over Michigan State 81-66.
All things considered in front of the home folks, they are 11-1 overall with the only loss to Tennessee.
Purdue already lost on the road at Nebraska and I believe this test today in Madison will be a test they fail for their 2nd loss on the road in Big Ten play.
This little home puppy barks loud and clear today.
