Savage,
Have you been protesting with Black Lives Matter? What are your thoughts on taking a knee during the National Anthem?

jett-I am not protesting with Black Lives Matter.

I am quite content to express my feelings and thoughts about that and overall with my posts.

Also, seeing what happened to the 75 year old guy I Buffalo(the same age as me) didn't exactly inspire me to go out into the streets.

Re: taking a knee during tee National Anthem, I say sure why not-imo it is not hurting anyone else-who cares?

As I said a while back when this issue was getting more attention than it is now, I said asked that if it was such an big issue, why even bother

to play the National Anthem before a sporting event in the first place.

Athletes are paid employees whose line of work is to win games for their fans who pay to see them play.

What is the point of playing a patriotic sing before the game begins?

I worked for 34 years in a highly respected governmental position in social services.

When I went to work every day, no one played the National Anthem prior to sitting down, and there was no reason to do so.

Imo it is the same situation with sporting events, namely that for the players and fans in attendance, it is an old ritual/habit which serves no purpose!

As usual you will only get the view from the left in this thread. There is always 2 sides to every story but do not expect to see it in here. This thread should be called the far left news of the day because you will get no positive news in here if it reflects on the right, like the job reports the other day. Yes, that was political news last time i checked.

And as with the quoted above, you will only get half the story. Here is the other half..........

Buffalo Officials Duped By Professional Antifa Provocateur – Righteous Police Team Stand Together and Walk Out…
Posted on June 6, 2020

Martin Gugino is a 75-year-old professional agitator and Antifa provocateur who brags on his blog about the number of times he can get arrested and escape prosecution. Gugino’s Twitter Account is also filled with anti-cop sentiment [SEE HERE]. Last Thursday Gugino traveled from his home in Amherst, New York, to Buffalo to agitate a protest crowd.

During his effort Gugino was attempting to capture the radio communications signature of Buffalo police officers. CTH noted what he was attempting on Thursday night as soon as the now viral video was being used by media to sell a police brutality narrative. [Thread Here] Today, a more clear video has emerged that shows exactly what he was attempting.

In this slow motion video, you will see Gugino using a phone as a capture scanner. You might have heard the term “skimming”; it’s essentially the same. Watch him use his right hand to first scan the mic of officer one (top left of chest). Then Gugino moves his hand to the communications belt of the second officer.

The capture of communications signals [explained in detail here] is a method of police tracking used by Antifa to monitor the location of police. In some cases the more high tech capture software can even decipher communication encryption allowing the professional agitators to block (black-out), jam, or interfere with police communication. In addition, many police body-cams are bluetooth enabled which allows syncing.

Unfortunately in the modern era the professional agitators have become very sophisticated and use technology to help create chaos. Their activity is highly coordinated, and as James O’Keefe has revealed in his undercover operations these professionals even stage events to manipulate public opinion.

On Friday Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown admitted Gugino was a professional ‘agitator’ who tried to work up the crowd and had been asked to leave the area ‘numerous’ times.

Act like an asshole and you will get treated like one

Yeah, I'll just BET that Looney Rudy is "disappointed," lol:

Giuliani 'disappointed' in reports that Bush won't back Trump's reelection; says Romney has 'chip on his shoulder'

By Andrew O'Reilly | Fox News
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani joins ‘Sunday Morning Futures.’
President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani did not seem concerned on Sunday about reports that establishment Republicans are publicly saying that they won’t vote for the president in November’s general election.
Giuliani – the former mayor of New York City – said he was “disappointed” to read reports that former President George W. Bush and Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, would not be voting for Trump this November – saying that Bush needs to “get over” Trump’s attack on his brother, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and that Romney has a “chip on his shoulder.”
“The Bushes are hurt,” Giuliani said on “Sunday Morning Futures.” “They're internally hurt. And my view is you get over it. I mean, the reality is this country is bigger than your personal anger at Trump.”
REPUBLICANS RETURNING FIRE IN 2020 BATTLE FOR SENATE
He added: “There's a personal anger that's affecting their decisions. And I'm very disappointed in that because the difference between Trump and [Democratic presidential nominee Joe] Biden is so palpable for anyone who has Republican values.”
Giuliani’s comments come after a New York Times report stated that both Bush and Romney would not be supporting Trump, and as other prominent establishment Republicans have either expressed reservations against backing the GOP president for another term or have publicly backed Biden.
Video
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell on Sunday became the latest member of the Republican Party’s old guard to announce that he will not be voting for President Trump in November’s general election. Powell instead made clear that when he heads to the ballot box this fall he will be casting his vote for Biden.
"I'm very close to Joe Biden in a social matter and in a political matter," Powell said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” "I've worked with him for 35, 40 years. And he is now the candidate and I will be voting for him."

Along with Romney and former President Bush, the New York Times is reporting that Jeb Bush and Cindy McCain, the wife of late Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, are also considering voting against Trump come November.
The withering criticism of Trump by his own former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and the admission by Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska that she is “struggling” with whether to vote for the sitting president of her own party have only increased the speculation that Trump could see a large mutiny on establishment Republicans in the general election.
Still, the president enjoys the support of Republican leaders in Congress – like Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina – as well as the backing of former rivals like Republican Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky.

Dafinch-I am not surprised of what you said in post 66 because after all Giuliani is nothing more than a wannabe Trump.

In essence like Trump, he is just a lying, cold blooded, nasty and insensitive viper, who at best should be a janitor cleaning pee, poop and vomit out of

toilets in public restrooms in the middle of Times Square in his hometown of New York City.

Yes-I know that Republican rednecks will bash the source and say it can't be trusted.

However today's CNN Poll shows Biden up by 14 points-even if that is a little high, it doesn't detract from the fact

that Trump is losing and is not even close at this point.

In all fairness though, keep in ming that the "Nostrodamus" Agent of the QAnons said as late as yesterday that Trumpo is going to win in

"the biggest landslide in history." lol

The bottom's dropping out on Trump's approvals

New polling is out and Donald Trump will be shocked to learn that gassing and violently beating peaceful protesters exercising their First Amendment wasn't as popular as Attorney General Bill Barr likely told him it would be.
Trump's approval plummeted fully seven points since last month in the new CNN/SSRS poll conducted June 2-5, entirely in the aftermath of Trump's disastrous photo op last Monday. Just 38% of Americans approve of the way he's handling his job, while 57% disapprove—a nearly 20-point gap. As CNN notes, Trump is resting comfortably right alongside where Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush at this point in their reelection bids. Keep on keeping on, Trump.
He is also running 14 points behind presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, 41%-55%. Both data points are significant, with Trump hitting his lowest point yet in CNN's head-to-head, while Biden notched his highest point in the poll to date. Ya love to see it.
Once more, support for the peaceful protests against police brutality in the wake of the murder of George Floyd is soaring, with 84% of Americans saying the protests are justified. That's a nearly 20-point jump from the fall of 2016, when 67% said they felt such demonstrations were justified.
And similar to polling by ABC News/Ispos late last week, respondents largely disapprove of Trump's handling of the murder of Floyd by Minneapolis police and the fallout since. Fully 65% say Trump's response has been more harmful than helpful, and 63% disapprove of the way Trump is handling race relations in the country.
Trump's particularly dismal approvals in the poll, along with his 14-point deficit against Biden, didn't sit well with the orange menace.

The CNN numbers are a bit too much reality for Trump, who surely believes he’s doing a bit better than he really is. In fact, The New York Times reported last week that allies have sometimes commissioned polls that figure favorably for him and then leak them to the press when, in actuality, his numbers are either stagnant or getting worse. So when Trump says he has “other polls,” he does—skewed polls intended to keep him from blowing a gasket.
