See that's the thing Box, I agree with you. The thread will certainly get many more views, deserved or not. It's like people attracted to bright, shiny things or some shit. People are stupid in general, I came to that conclusion a long time ago.
That shit just isn't my style. The main reason I post my plays here isn't really even to help others; it's more to keep myself disciplined and do things the right way, like a check system for me. The more accountable I am, the less likely I am to chase and be a fucking retard in general.

Hay, just a comment. I put much into my selections, although unconventional, I do quite well. Last night as an example, I took the over as insurance to my selection, lost the game with the football points but got the over so I split. I did very well in my the college football selection and won the Pop69 contest!
2006 was one of the best year's I ever had. The capping and pow's were far better than we had in any previous year as well. And a few cappers exceed way beyond what I though was possible.<?xml:namespace prefix = o /><O

We had a bunch of new posters to the thread as well as some of the past winners of the POW which did very well, but were no match for top 8 on the leader board. I'm not one for following any capper's picks, but I can tell you than I sure would have been hard pressed to go against any of there picks.<O></O>

As with previous years, I'm using a base bet of $110 on all POW's posted to come up with the annual winner. This year it was very very close, with the two few being head and shoulders above the rest. sammythesage had the highest w/l percentage, and I can tell you from previous experience he has over the years come up with solid winners. But the POW’s thread is one of the toughest places to win, and I make it that way on purpose. Over the years I've found that it's almost impossible for the avg better to stay on top of all the info and be in a position to take advantage of the opening lines etc. The tout service always through out a team with some crazy ass number that only them are able to get, and post there record vs. that number, while the avg guys gets stuck holding the bag and losing his money. So that is why I created the POW thread years ago. To show that it was possible for the avg guy to take advantage of line moves and majority picks and make money. Hopefully it worked for some of you one way or the other. Yes it was a bunch of work, but I enjoyed it, and if I’m still around and haven’t fried my liver etc, we'll do it again next year.<O></O>

He plays about one game a day and has been doing real well. I rarely look though.
I agree with Teazeman, this thread is kind of bullshit. Everyone has ups and downs. Hell, I think Box is a great capper so I followed him a couple nights last week in the NBA and got my ass kicked. Same thing has happened with me with Gynecologist. I look at alot of cappers threads and will follow people from time to time, but nobody on here is unbelievable. MF would actually be doing pretty well if he practiced the same kind of money management as Box and Gyne do. Hes picking about 55-57 percent in the NFL and is a couple over .500 in the NBA. Box was up a ton of units in college foots and the nba and tailed off some in both lately, doesnt mean hes over/under rated. Gyne went through a terrible stretch in the NBA, but has been clawing back. Its more about the money management than the selections as far as MF goes.
CK is solid in the NBA and Skins deserves far more attention. Other than the people Ive mentioned, I dont really look at anyone.
