What's the exposure to the owners anyhow? Besides the contests you guys run, the Fantasy Football League collects a total of $ 6,000, spread out between different treasurers. Same with the $ 500 two strike pool. The other contests collect even less, although they do have one treasurer. I also don't think anyone would hold the forum responsible, and I don't think it would be worth anyone's effort to even try. Since everything is paid out and there's no vig, I believe it's legal much like bowling leagues or setback tournaments or even the thousands and thousands of fantasy leagues throughout this country.

How about we eliminate any reference to TheRX (something I thought might help the forum BTW), we can even state TheRx is not involved, and you post that legal warning in every thread. Maybe that would work for the owners

Well in the league I'm in we already have all 12 members .

that rule did not effect the fantasy league for THIS year but more so in later years.

I feel like this Banishment of that very best most +EV advertising & making people easily aware of The RXNFL & RXNCAAF Contests that is removing Sticky Threads from the most heavily trafficked (maximum # of eyeballs) lanes we have here is related to the Heating Up of talk about Legalization.

And possibly the thought that this might be coming sooner than we thot, at the least to certain states.

I feel like the Banishment of RXNFL & RXNCAAF Contests Threads thus massive reduction in "Hits" on those is related to Legalization....Traffic to the site (expected) as result of that combined with concerns about "legal stuff", Liabilities....Potential.

I had Zero Awareness that there had occurred problem(s) here with Stiffing and/or dispute relating to Transactions between posters and certainly I had completely No Awareness of such relating to any "Contests".

Where, at other forums, such is not uncommon. RX I thought was a Haven above that storm.

Willie and HC, kidman and other Showrunners here would throw themselves on their swords commit HariKari (ya see what I did there?) before ever Stiffing. Thats not in these cats DNA.

I think that truth is irrelevant though, I feel like this change has to do with concerns about "Liability" of RX as an entity, where regards an exchange of $$$ between forum members. If thats the case whats puzzling is that these concerns appear to have risen to a Fever Pitch very suddenly

and at quite an odd time. The very worst time, NFL caused inflow of traffic...."Lets make less eyeballs GET on the threads for RXNFL & RXNCAAF Contests" is an utterly puzzling course of action. "Specially with, as others have pointed out, these contests having been among the best on the internet. To me they are the best cuz other contests include Totals and I don't wanna compete against Totals Guys. That's as Minus EV as playing Poker vs. HarryCaray or Festering Zit. Not as massively MINUS VALUE as Poker vs. Festering Zit if he has managed to get JAZZ playing in the background mind you but -EV to me BIGtime: NFL/NCAAF contests that have Total Plays on their menu.

The Ramp Up in Legalization talk & anticipated as result increase in traffic is why this Contest "Black Plague-like" fear has found its way to our doorstep??????

I was just pointing out that therx faces some of the same issues with someone selling products on its forum as they do with posters holding funds for contest .
