I have to say whoever had the under for the game took the worst beat of the year for sure there. I learned my lesson here on chasing after this win....no mas.

last week was a pretty bad beat for montreal backers. giving up 16 points in that 2 minute stretch there.

i was loving every minute of it in the stands at taylor field but i remember thinking once i covered how awful it must have been for the als backers. at worst they must have been thinking a push on the -6 if the riders got the ball back and marched the field to score.

instead INT on their 25, TD, kickoff fumble, FG and a 9 point rider win.

i think it is equally hurtful as tonight.

Tonight was nothing close to that Montreal meltdown. Winnipeg was driving and the over only needed 9 points. Winnipeg kicked a FG with a full 3 minutes left for Calgary to get a TD. They drove down and scored and that was the end of it. Winnipeg's extra TD at the end was just icing on the cake. So essentially, over backers really only needed 6 points in a full 3 mins which is an eternity of time. Montreal winning large in the 4th qrt with 6 points as a buffer, that was unreal. Good luck tomorrow to everyone here.

im with you KC, montreal was much worse than tonight.

at halftime they had 26 points, after 3 quarters they only needed 16 points and this is the CFL. CFL 4 quarters routinely become shootouts.

a team up by 8 with 3 minutes left and +6 points could not have envisioned anything worse than a push.

I know a tiny bit of it, don't know enough to lay my money down. Who you on tonight?
a friend of mine from Queensland emailed me earlier today and said he had info on his hometown Cowboys. Told me that the Eels would steamroll his boys...line is -11....I have no clue, but my aussie friend has put me on some winnas from down under.

score here not indicative of how the Eels dominated N. Queensland according to my bud....Eels had plenty of opps to score, but commited uncharacteristic penalties that led to stalls. Still a cover if any followed...I know I did...:toast:
