From another thread, here is what our fearless leader Incubus had to say about Fading Lang. I respect Incubus and think he's a smart dude. Even though he promotes the prime directive daily, he's at least smart enough to proceed with caution himself. Sounds to me like he's scaled back and, in some instances, has backed off the Fade.

Btw, the propangada(PD included) you consistently talk about is more of a product of Incubus than Pimpy. I hardly ever see Pimpy bringing that up himself.

Gtfo!

This is the "FADE" BLang thread... The long time faders don't give a fuck if you want to "scale back" or take a break or "think if the team lang is on is the "right" side... We don't think... we just fade... all the shit is getting stirred up in this forum because people think that its not his plays or there is a new GM. Bottom line is that Langer cannot be stupid his whole life... maybe he is using better money management because he wants to keep to his winning ways in March but NONETHELESS, we will fade either way. Think of it like you are the house and langer is the player. They WILL go on winning streaks like this... you just need to weather the storm. I say if you are not on our boat, GTFO! There are many people who jump ship when lang goes on these runs... jump and beat it!

5 DIME - NORTHERN COLORADO BEARS With Northern Colorado being favorite by about a 1 point home favorite, it's hard not to like the Bears considering they're 13-1 Butler-Hancok Sports Pavilion this season where they've won 6 straight and 18 of their last 19 games overall.$$$ Plus, this marks the fifth straight road game for Pacific since its regular season finale back on February 27. I was really mpressed with Northern Colorado's first-round win against visiting Portland. The Pilots were impressed with Northern Colorado's first-round win against visiting Portland. The Pilots were a bigger team, but the Bears outrebounded them 34-26 and outscored them in the pain 35- 20. And Pacific isn't as big as Portland so that means UNC should be able to run. And this is a team that averaged 74 points a game this season.

Good luck tonight!

My apologies to anyone who read one of my earlier posts and accidentally got down on Xavier yesterday, I am truly sorry. How will you ever forgive me?

This word just in! fade2bet is doing the writeups for the Lang organization.
Compare yesterdays writeup with fade2bet's work today:

Yesterday:

Xavier gets upgraded today.

On Friday Xavier was my free pick and I sat back and watched them just handle their business against the Gophers, a team that shouldn't even have been in the tournament.

Now they are my top play today because simply put, they are the better tournament team. Every year Xavier makes noise in this tourney because they can shoot the basketball and in this format, if you can make shots you can be successful.

You need a reference? See Northern Iowa!

Let me also point out the implosion of the Big East conference, as Villanova loses to a team from the West Coast conference, Georgetown from the MAC, Louisville from the supposedly soft Pac-10, and Notre Dame from the Colonial.
Now I will sit back and watch Pitt lose to a team from the Atlantic-10.

Truth be told I haven't been impressed by Pitt all year long after watching Notre Dame tear them apart 68-53 back on February 24th and then again in the Big East tourney.

Early warnings signs for me were the loss to Indiana 74-64 the 3rd game of the year, at Seton Hall by 3 and at South Florida 70-61.

This is not the team from last year we all remember. This is a team over-hyped and overvalued all year long.

As for the Musketeers, they have paid nicely at the ticket window all year at 18-8 ATS and over their last 20 games they are 17-3 SU and 14-6 ATS.

They lost to Baylor by 4 on a neutral floor, Marquette, went into Kansas State, Butler, Wake Forest, Temple twice and won at Florida.

Folks, that is 7 teams they played who made the tourney so now you know what I mean by tourney tough.

The numbers show Pitt 1-5 ATS last 6 tourney games and 3-8 ATS last 11 neutral site games.

As for Xavier, how about 4-1 ATS last 5 versus the Big east, 13-3-1 ATS last 17 NCAA tourney games and the river card is 14-5 ATS last 19 non conference games.

Xavier is currently a 1 point favorite for a reason, because they are supposed to win today and quite frankly they will.

Put the Musketeers in the Sweet Sixteen as another Big East team goes down.

The issue here is that the 2009 guy is not the 2010 guy, and I'm not talking about his winning streak.

It's his mentality and the fact that he's playing 5-15 dimers once a day. This was a guy that was playing more games per day in the past and he'd go 1-2 or 1-3 consistently and the faders would pick up nice wins.

If he's going to go 4-3 or 3-4 each week and play these 10 dimers we are going to lose slightly, with the juice effect.

I think the fade system works but I think we need to find a worse tout with more wreckless bankroll management.

The service thread is full of Joe Public touts with easy to fade dime systems.

You have to ask yourself, with all of these free tout picks out there is Lang the worst one or one of the worst ones to fade?

Don't worry about him just giving out 5 dimers and only one pick per day. Like an alcoholic, any degenerate can go on the wagon for awhile - but Lang won't be able to manage his money and picks long term. His big ego won't let him. And even IF, and it's a BIG IF, someone is holding him back right now, it won't last. Because he will push to make more picks after a winning streak. Why? Two main reasons - he has no discipline, and no knowledge. He doesn't know what he's doing (besides scamming). THAT my friends - is proven by the numbers I have seen posted here over the last few years (I've backtracked and researched it). And it's proven that even during his hot streak - he really isn't making that much cash for his clients because he's too busy washing his pussy to go past 5 or 10 dimes on any given day. That will change. This is like the stock market. You don't quit and sell your stock when it goes down - only idiots sell low. Wait it out (like I did with my Ford stock). If you don't have discipline, guts, and patience, gambling isn't for you in the first place - unless you want to long term line the pockets of books. Me? I'm gonna fade.

IMO what you say about the stock is not entirely true and/or needs clarification(for the record I have been in the market for over 40 years).
You don't sell a stock when it is low(and perhaps add more at lower prices) IF and only IF if the fundamentals haven't changed.
If the criterion you used to buy the stock in the first place is no longer there, most times it is best to take your loss and move on because chances are it will head even lower.
Thus, in the case of Lang, if someone else who is better is picking the games for him and he is picking fewer games than before, than the original basis on which faders started to fade Lang may in fact be gone, meaning that until/if he starts to go bad again, one should stop fading him and/or start fading someone else who has been losing on a regular basis.

The key word here is IF. There is no evidence that someone else is picking the games for him. :ohno: Only speculation. The only thing we have here is a winning streak that really has underperformed because he's wagering less right now. Lang had winning months last year too. It's not realistic to think he's going to lose EVERY week/month. Streaks happen. The bottom line is, for the duration of this streak, I have been fading and due to what is obviously his own lack of confidence based on his low dime bets, I haven't lost much at all.

All this unfounded, unproven speculation will be forgotten about when he crashes and burns, which history shows he will. Now, if he puts 4-5 months in a row together, a re-evaluation may be in order. But not just because he had a short hot streak which really hasn't been all that profitable for him or his clients.

It's amazing to me that there are so many people think that the so called professional handicappers can win anytime they want to. Here's a hint. They CAN'T. Not on a consistent basis. Whether it's DeMarco, Lang, Anthony, syndicate this, insider that, etc.. The final result is that they all lose. Yes, they can go 11-0 and yes they can go 20-1 but you stretch out the season, they all end up 30-40. I see so many people in this thread thinking that they can fade Lang with $100 and expect to make $5000 in a month or people with a $1000 bank roll wagering $50 against Lang's 5 dimes play. Both of these paths will only disappoint you. You must be EXTREMELY patient and plan to do it 365 days. Its a long freakin grind. You cannot worry about it or over think it each and every day. Just let the fad run by itself. Here is my 2 cents about my personal fade against Lang.
1- Current bankroll $16,321
2- Each day I divide my bank roll into 1000 units. For example my $ per unit for today is $16. So if Lang/Demarco/Mr. CEO releases a 5 dimer I play $80. Why do I divide up my bankroll everyday? I think this allows me to be flexible and adjust accordingly to Lang's winning/losing streaks. When he wins, it allows me to play a slightly small wager but when he goes on a losing streak, I will be able to take advantage of it. Additionally by dividing my bankroll into 1000 units, it allows me to be stress free. I don't have to win everything this week. I want to make at least a 15% profit after 365 days of fading.
3- Finally, you must find a house that charges 5% juice. This is a MUST. That 5% is everything.
Thank you for letting me speak. AND PROPS TO MR. PIMP AND INC. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

I realize that you might not have kept the records. But were they similiar to last year? Just curious. Thanks in advance.

I tracked him back in 06-07 simply by visiting his site the following day and recording all his results. I didn't know threads like these existed and was just doing it on my own. I acually created a wikipedia page for him briefly and posted his failures. I distinctly remember him being down 600 to 700 dimes over the course of 6 - 9 months. After a few weeks Lang's site caught on and started changing it. Eventually wikipedia just closed the page because of the constant editing.

He was down hundreds of dimes for all time periods I tracked. There were times when he changed his style and had brief periods of success. When Sean Michaels came onto the site Michaels went on a ridiculous run in the MLB and about half way through it Lang literally copied his picks every single day.

Within a few weeks though Michaels went cold and Lang went back to his normal losing ways. Everything runs in cycles.

He is a loser and will always be a loser. That will never change.

It just amazes me that people think tout's don't go on runs. Even the worst capper has the ability to get hot from time to time. Relax folks.

Brandon Lang

5 DIME - NORTHERN COLORADO BEARS With Northern Colorado being favorite by about a 1 point home favorite, it's hard not to like the Bears considering they're 13-1 Butler-Hancok Sports Pavilion this season where they've won 6 straight and 18 of their last 19 games overall. Plus, this marks the fifth straight road game for Pacific since its regular season finale back on February 27. I was really impressed with Northern Colorado's first-round win against visiting Portland. The Pilots were impressed with Northern Colorado's first-round win against visiting Portland. The Pilots were a bigger team, but the Bears out rebounded them 34-26 and outscored them in the pain 35- 20. And Pacific isn't as big as Portland so that means UNC should be able to run. And this is a team that averaged 74 points a game this season.
