It was a dumb move.. Their not going to and winning SBs with Lamar as QB..period..

I don’t really understand the measuring stick you are using .
So unless Jackson wins a Super bowl this was the dumbest move Baltimore made in history ?

I find that kinda extreme .

Has to be some sort of middle ground don’t you think?

I mean Baltimore spent a higher first round pick then they did on Jackson on Kyle Boller during Ray Lewis prime and pretty much wasted one of the best defenses in NFL history with his pathetic play .

I would say Jackson has already shown more then Boller did his entire career and Balt spent less draft capital on him then they did Boller.

I mostly agree but I also think if you're gonna go with a running QB then do it right out of college when you don't have to pay him much for 3 years, build the right team around him and see what happens. If it doesn't work, then whatever, just try something else (it was the 32nd pick in the draft) but there is huge value in having a productive QB on a rookie deal (why even bums like Trubisky/Bortles/Mariotta have been able to go playoffs on rookie deals)

The Ravens are +400 to win the AFC right now, even if you think that line is a little rich, what else could they have done at QB over the past 24 months to reload after Flacco Era?

Never said it was the biggest mistake in Ravens history. Or even drafting him at that position in the draft. Mistake is inserting him as a QB.. a player and athlete like that should be used in other skilled positions.. Just can't have a franchise QB running around like he does and risk the whole team with an injury..and it is a big risk. And Im not crazy with the way he throws the ball. Long term , just don't see it.. i see your point with being on a rookie deal and all.

I like how going into NE and winning in the playoffs has become some type of barometer/litmus test for Lamar Jackson, lol. A 2nd year QB that was the 32nd pick in the draft and is on a team that didn't make the playoffs the previous 3 years to him being drafted as well as were on their way to not making it a 4th year last year.

Peyton Manning couldn't even win in Foxboro in his prime, so this is some goal post moving going on ITT.

That’s factual. Ravens have been shit the last 3 years before Lamar Jackson. It was the Steve smith show and that’s it. And he was 38 or some shit. It wasn’t a good team and Flacco is not a good QB. You take away 4 games in his career, and what has he done outside those 4 games? Really does 4 wins in the playoffs really make you a better QB than someone who is showcasing things we have never seen before and dominating in the process.
