The reason Langer wasn't renewed by Steve Budin was simply economics. You don't pay a handicapper a 250K salary plus other perks if he can't sell shit anymore. Don't worry guys, he'll show up with his own site by football season but with very little funding and we'll start the fade again. We should always keep in mind the impact of the vig. A bettor who exclusively bets spreads at -110 will lose money if he hits less than 52.4% of his plays, but, because of the juice, fading him is only profitable if he hits less than 47.6%. Are there any stats to support the conclusion that Lang loses more than twice the vig?
I think 6 1/2 points can be covered easily by the Lakers tonight over the visiting Thunder. It will be another double digit spanking at Staples Center as this game goes off at 10:35 Eastern. I am betting 30% of the $1,448 bankroll or $432 on the Lakers giving up the points. I am staying away from the Suns/Trailblazers game, I don't have a clue who is going to win that one. The Blazers game will be a great game just to watch.
