Beginning today the recaps will still be on Tuesday but BEFORE the summary of the comp. message.

It is especially early today as I will be on the road until this afternoon.

Week Five:

College sides and totals 4-6 with 9 units LOST.

Pros 2-2 with 2.4 units GAINED

Overall for the week 6.6 units were LOST or $660 dollars at $100 a unit.

The cheapest cost of service for a non PS subscriber of the several mentioned to get all of the Late Phone Plays was $289.

Thus factoring the cost, it is seen that $949 dollars was LOST.

Cumulative:

College 26-23 with 2.25 units LOST.

Pro 9-7 with 3.3 units GAINED.

Overall 1.05 units have been gained or $105.

The total cost of service so far is 11.99 units or $1199.

Thus adding in the cost, it is seen that so far the non PS subscriber is MINUS 10.94 units or MINUS $1094 at $100 a unit.

Back with the message and comps sometime this afternoon.

Here you go with the rest of tdoay's message:

In summary lets just say that after listening to the one way positive bullshit with NOTHING mentioned which is in the negative, of which there is PLENTY both this year

and in the previous three years whcih I documented their records, all of which are and were LOSING ones, I am not surprised that Phil Steele/his flunky Todd

who does the comp. line and NC in general are held in VERY low esteem and why virtually no one buys the plays, revenues plummet and why unfortunately

as we have seen there is no guarantee we will even get the plays and/or in a timely fashion.

I won'tbore you with the details, but anyone who has followed me since I stared following NC knows I am not making this stuff up.

In short if you listened to Todd today, you would come away with the impression that people can retire with the NC plays because they

are hitting at such an incredible percentage. lol

Anyways on ext. 9 we hear that a PS subsciption has been reduced to a "magnanimous" $89.

Also you can buy either one of this week's weekly PowerPOOP newsletters online for $10.

And of course we get the usual Tuesday boring shit of what PowerPlays are all about, how wonderful it is, etc.

THE POWERPLAY COMP. OF THE WEEK IS ON UTEP - 1 1/2

Ext. 3 The only things worth mentioning other than comp. is that Full Executive Service for a non PS subscriber costs $350 this week.

We will have to see if that turns out to be the lowest price to get the Late Phone Plays after we hear the rest of the Dinner Specials this week.

The rest of the tape consists of the glorified records of SELECTIVE PORTIONS of the NC zillions types of plays using the usual selective time frames

to try to present a rosy picture of a service which does nothing but lose year after year with its most important plays.

We are never told what has been losing and why as usual they are in the red.

THE UNDERDOG PLAY OF THE WEEK IS IOWA + 4 1/2.

I forgot to mention this in previous post.

Last week Full Executive Service costs $289, and that included the NFL GOM.

This week to best of my knowledge there is no Game of Anything and the price goes up to $350-that makes a real

lot of sense. lol

Does Phil Steele/NC throw darts each week to decide their pricing?

Knowing how clueless/arrogant Phil Steele is, is with ad nauseam repetitive advertising and sense of grandeur, imo it is even possible that he believes that since hardly

shelled out the $289 last week, that by raising the price to $350, people will believe that the plays overall are even stronger than last week(not saying much as NC

lost) and thus readily jump on the bandwagon even though it costs more. lol

I decided for those of you who don't call the Comp. Line, that rather than just refer to Phil Steele/Todd/NC as liars by omission, I decided

that using today's tape I am going to give you examples of why these folks go out of their way to totally deceive and misrepresent how they are doing and

how they have done.

We are told that the PowerPlay Comp. Plays have gone 78-50 over evleven years.

We are told PowerPlays have gone 5-1 in their last top plays in college and 8-1 overall in the NFL.

We are told that college totals are 4-1 in top plays and 13-6 overall of late.

NFL-14-6-1 for going back to 2018.

College Top Plays 26-6 going back to last year (bullshit unless they are talking about totals only).

The point is that if all of this stuff is winning, why is it that with my documentation, they have LOST for THREE CONSECUTIVE SEASON with the Late

Phones and are already in the red for this season?

The answer is obvious-Stoole through Todd only picks out and brags that which is winning and ONLY over selective times frames.

NEVER anything like their shitty overall record in college sides is ever mentioned.

In short NC is saying is that looking back at the picks retrospective, if you had played these particular plays during the time frame we suggested,

you would be rich beyond your wildest imagination.

Perhaps Phil/NC can invent a time machine so that those who bet ALL of the the plays during the time frames they talk about, can at the very least delete those plays

from the particular type of play which lost and just keep the plays which won.

That's it for now-off to bed!

Takeaways from today's comp. message on ext. 9(no update on ext. 3 until tomorrow):

First we have a perfect example of what I alluded to in previous post, re: bragging about something ONLY when it WINS and

using only a favorable time frame.

Case in point-Todd tells us that the ext. 9 comps. were 5-1 last week.

That's nice to know, but how come he NEVER mentioned how they did in the weeks so far when they LOST, and just as importantly, what is the record for

the ENTIRE SEASON-get the picture here!!!

Then we actuality get a little positivity for a change.

Instead of the outrageous price of $289 it would have taken for a non PS subscriber to get all of last week's Late Phone Plays, this week the "Dinner Special" price

has been reduced to $150, which will include all of the Saturday college sides, Sunday NFL, and some Marquees sprinkled in but NOT the Saturday totals nor the

Monday star rated play.

If you want the totals, you can get them for an additional $19 bringing cost to $169.

I would assume that the star rated play for Monday without guarantee will be $20 bringing total to $189, which is a lot better than

$289, but imo still more than they are worth.

The other part of the message is the usual Wednesday pump for the midweek Economy Club Plays-12 college plays and 5 NFL for $20, with the usual

tease that some of these may go onto become Late Phone Plays, like something is going to change between now and Saturday which would upgrade their status. lol

ANYWAYS THE #2 ECONOMY CLUB PLAY IS BOSTON COLLEGE + 6 1/2.

Any truth to the rumor that stuff like this is going to be the basis of the new book "Total Obsession-the Phil Steele Story"?

If so, I would feel very honored to at the very least be considered to write the Prologue to it at no charge. lol

Serious question. Have you ever taken a basic marketing class?

Did they ever tell you to promote the negative aspects or positive aspects. I would think if NC summarized their recaps with all the negatives, that would be bad marketing, NO?

"Bad marketing" in the eyes of NC for sure.

Would it be "bad marketing" in the eyes of folks like Ralph Nader and/or Consumer Reports?

Along the same lines, what do you see as the real goals of those I just cited in terms of what they do?

Hint-it is exactly what you see me doing here.

In short there is a whole ethical question here as to what is right and wrong, sort of along the same lines as the notorious used car salesman.

I choose to take the side of the consumer in the name of full disclosure.

One correction from previous post.

In actuality I think it would be GOOD marketing for NC to tell the entire truth rather than their sleazy and deceptive current way of doing things for the simple

reason that overall they have a very poor image in the eyes of most because they are currently so deceptive and point out and brag only about the good stuff.

If they gave a complete and honest recap(full disclosure), imo some folks including me would change their overall opinion. which if anything could only help

their cause.

Since you asked, did I ever say I bought any NC stuff? I simply brought up a marketing question. Now be honest on this one. How much information can you use in this thread before the games are played? Savage says it is so easy to find plays so don't buy them lol. How many plays are actually posted before the games start lol. Then to selectively grade plays that are only in your favor? lol I'm not a supporter of NC and Phil, just a supporter of good reporting

Cheddar-if I may and to be fair, I have stated and correctly so that up until this year or at the end of last season, it was easy to get the plays, and

in the overwhelming number of cases they were posted before they began.

So far and as I have stated, it is not so easy to get the plays this year before they start or at all because it is quite obvious that very few people whether they

are PS subscribers or not, ae actually purchasing the plays.

Also you say "selectively grade plays that are in your favor."

What does that mean exactly?

Am I supposed to play their game and post records for all their myriad plays, all of which carry no rating other than the Late Phones, which I do grade

because they are NC's strongest plays? They do a good job of pumping that which wins ONLY and don't need my help in any case.

How is this in my favor anyways?

What if the Late Phones had a good year and the Marquees and the other plays lost and I documented only their Late Phones-would you consider this

as being in my favor as opposed to if decided to grade all of the other types of plays which lost?

If anything, and using your logic, theoretically grading the Late Phones only should be in THEIR favor rather than mine, as these are supposed to be their strongest

plays.

If I am missing something here, please state what it is.

One thing I forgot to mention is that both yesterday and the dat before Todd stated that PS subscribers who were on board with the Late Phones for last

week(and lost) should call the office for additional big discounts in addition to regular discount being offered on comp. line for all PS subscribers.

The good news from that is that Steele/NC is sensing that that is the smart and fair thing to do in order to keep folks who bought the Late Phones happy.

The bad news is that by NOT stating what these big discounts are publicly on comp. line and forcing folks to call the office, imo it gives folks

the impression that if they announced these prices on comp. line and all of those listening to the message(not just those who subscribed but everyone

else), it just might give the overall impression that the original retail alleged values of what they charge are way too high to begin with, thus

negating/calling into question how legitimate the original discounts given out are.

In short, if the discounts given to folks who subscribed last week were announced publicly, lost of folks who didn't subscribe and heard ONLY the prices given out

on comp. line, might think "Wow NC is trying to claim that the comp. line discount is real/legitimate when they are actually offering even bigger ones to

certain other folks."

I sure hope that my point is clear here.

Here we go for today and other than the comps. themselves, not much to talk about.

Ext. 9 Pump for the Big Dog Play of the Week and for the two Marquees going tonight.

THE RON JEREMY BIG DONG/DOG PLAY OF THE WEEK IS CONNECTICUT + 10.

Ext. 3 the same come-on bs we heard on ext. 9 yesterday is simply transported over to ext. 3 today.

THE NFL TOTALS PLAY OF THE WEEK IS UNDER PHILADELPHIA 44.

This may seem trivial, but I have always wondered why almost invariably on Monday Night there is always a two star rated play and a Marquee Play-one is on the side

and one on the total.

Come Thursday night when there is usually both an NFL Game and one or more college games, all we ever seem to get from NC are the Marquees with hardly

ever a star rated play.

Is this just coincidental or is there more to it?

My own inclination is to beleive that Steele/NC SCRIPT their star rated plays for the weekend(especially college) because they believe that folks are much more likely

to buy something then when lots of folks are off for the weekend and thus more likely to buy picks than on weekdays.

There imo by their way of thinking, they would rather not gamble and issue say a three star rated play on Thursday in the fear

people might be less likely to buy a some kind of a weekend package than they would by releasing a Marquee Play(s) on Thursday which happened to lose.

In short if nothing else, food for thought.
