NFL Turkey Day Games Selections
Thursday, November 27th, 2008
Seattle Seahawks (2-9) at Dallas Cowboys (7-4)
Texas Stadium - Irving, Texas
Series Record: San Francisco (19-15)
Home Record: Seattle 1-5; Dallas 4-1
Road Record: Seattle 1-4; Dallas 3-3
Last Meeting: 01/06/07 (Seattle, 21-20 at Seattle)
Dallas is all set to make a playoff drive and the struggling Seahawks will not get in their way. Seattle’s ineffective defense will not slow down Tony Romo and his boys at Texas Stadium. I don’t expect a blowout, but the Cowboys talented offense is starting to connect again and won’t have any problems scoring. Romo and the Cowboys will be eating Turkey at half time.

Dallas Cowboys -12.5

Texas A&M Aggies (4-7) at (4) Texas Longhorns (10-1)
Texas Memorial Stadium - Austin, Texas
Home Record: Texas A&M 2-5; Texas 6-0
Road Record: Texas A&M 2-2; Texas 3-1
Series: Texas (73-36-5)
Last Meeting: 11/23/07 (Texas A&M, 38-30 at Texas A&M)
Sure, the struggling Aggies are having a bad year, but Texas A&M has won the last two meetings in the rivalry and would love to destroy Texas postseason drive again, especially in front of a National audience on Thanksgiving. On the other hand, I see the superior Longhorns scoring easily and often both in the air and on the ground against the Aggies vulnerable defense. In addition, Texas will need an impressive victory to keep hold of their lead in the standings and confirm they deserve a BCS national championship game.
