And what were those signs again?

13-3?
15-4?
1 seed?
AFC champs?
Lost in last minutes of the SB?

maybe that 12-7 record ATS ?

I'll be here in January. And as always, I'll take any action people want to risk on such predictions

The signs? Dysfunction.

It's in the organization. 40 year old QB. Coach/GM at odds with the owner.

It's over man. It will manifest itself. It was a great run. Congrats. But its over.

Bump it in January.

You think that this will last forever?

I can understand the thinking. You have been spoiled for so long.

It has to end eventually. 10-6 and losing in the first round aint all that bad. The Browns would kill for that shit.

Brady is great no doubt, but several times last year he went down without being touched to avoid the hit. Remember Jim (Chris) Evert. I would hate to see him go out on a bad year.
Anyone think he would have retired if Pats won superbowl last year?

lol Chris Everett.

Who knew at the time that with the power of the internet that would live on forever.

"You won't say it again!"

"I bet I do ...CHRIS"

I have said numerous times all over this board and in real life and in this thread that they will be mortal again. Just not next year, and I'm willing to back up my words. Just let me know if you are willing to do so. This is a gambling forum dontchaknow. :)

I also believe they can continue to be very good under Kraft's ownership, but nothing like what they've been for the last 17 years.

Tom won the MVP in 2017, he's not playing old. He set Superbowl records vs the Eagles, he could not have done more.

I don't think he would have retired, because if that was the talk I don't think they trade Jimmy G

The Pats made a huge mistake letting Jimmy G go but they would have been left in an untenable situation if they kept him. If you operated like a machine you would have done this. You would have released Tom Brady at the start of the new league year a few weeks ago and signed Jimmy G to a long term contract. I would have also moved Bill Belichik to team president if he wished to stay on and immediately have Josh McDaniel start his tenure as head coach. Bill is still a genius but being that he may retire in a year or two I would install McDaniel as head coach now to have continuity. What I'm trying to do here is set up another run of excellence for 10 years. What are you left with if Brady and Belichik retire after the 2018 season. Brady will probably have another excellent year but I would rather give that up and have a shot at 10 years.

The GAY ELITE in corp america ( Kraft food industries? perhaps) have been directing this narrative
away from the "alleged" ties between Penn State and the Patriots . Belichik, Paterno..
the Billy O'Brien cover-up settlement offer etc

With his dedication to workouts and being in shape one more season is very likely in the cards.....But father time will likely only allow one more....Now the defination of success for him is only winning the super bowl... Just getting there is absolutely on another level with his success and age... So, I would not predict he will or won't make it.... But I think the only way he RETIRES is not making even the Playoffs... That's in the cards as a possibility also... But I really believe anything less than a ring means he --GONE... And never underestimate the size of a a man's heart.

DP .. this isn't about Bradys performance... this is about the corporate " elite gays" that enabled this Belichik run to stay on course all these years

and the strain on belichik relationship with Brady for not having his back with deflate gate the same way
Brady did when Brady allowed Bill O'Brien to leave against his wishes but understanding that it was a settlememt
between the Kraft Corp and Penn State Univ to limit the dialogue concerning Belichiks alleged role as a
trusted instructor at Sanduskys linebacker camp.

there was one reporter that was silenced after he was able to allegedly have tied checks that were
issued for belichiks role at the camps.. that were used for a home payment .. leaving that reporter
to dub Belichiks home the "house that Sandusky" built .. again un able to correlate most of this as everyone
that has started down this road winds up in a hornets nest and stop in their tracks.. again this is all alleged and uncorrobarated

it kinda begs the question about if Pats fans enabled Belichik all these years and by proxy enabled Sandusky..

that question needs to be asked and the answer is obvious

But yea the pats fucked up .

They should have done what the 49ers, colts, and Packers did .
And yes it’s apples to apples .

All 3 QBs for above teams played at an elite level after they left.

Manning won mvp, Favre had the best season of his career . Montana did Montana things .

All 3 of the above players were younger then Brady is right now when above teams let those legendary players go.

It is very clear to me belichick was against this
