Took this one early , not sure which way the odds will move as this seems to be the only bookie with odds on this match at the moment , I am happy with the odds I have .

Andy Ram and Dechy won Rolland Garros mixed in 2007 and made 1/2 here already last year , they are best team here out of 4 left I believe .
Andy is one of my favorite doubles players and I will take him over Robredo in doubles any day , great net and all court coverage .
Dechy and Garrigues are about even as doubles specialists but I prefer Dechy's game on hardcourts .
Already have bet against the spanish duo today and they should be out if Schnyder didn't blow so many cheap points in the deciding set tiebreak .
I like Dechy's and Andy's power game , Robredo and Medina play typical clay court groundstrokes game where Ram likes to watch for an opening at the net to finish the point early .

That is an interesting prop bet I see here , considering neither player really has a big serve and Verdasco would need 4 more aces for me to lose this bet .

Nadal is one of the toughest players to serve an ace on , he wont serve many aces however he will not allow a lot either .
Verdasco had 7 aces three times in this tournament , 1 and 10 against Murray but it was a 5 set match which I dont think will be the case today as I count on Nadal to win 3-0 sets or 3-1 .
Nadal so far had 10 , 3 , 4 , 4 and 5 aces but he also won all matches rather easily without dropping a set so it reduced his chances for more aces .
Verdasco has highest first serve average in the ATP but it's because he doesn't go for power serve and rather trys to place the ball on the court which wont get him many aces against a player like Rafael Nadal .

My prediction if Verdasco is going to serve more aces than Rafael and by more than 1 or 2 it can be something like 4 vs 7 or 5 vs 8 tops but I don't think he will serve 4 more than Nadal .
Honestly tho I don't think Verdasco can make more than 5 aces because Rafael should win this match in 3 or 4 sets without a tiebreak which will reduce Verdasco's chances to serve more aces . Nadal himself is good for 4-6 aces most likely which should be enough to beat Verdasco's amount of aces .

I think it may be closer than some would think , maybe a 3 setter but hard to really tell anything as they play different every round ... first Serena is with one leg out of the tournament before breaking Kuznetsova who was serving for match , in the next round she beats best player of this year so far Dementieva rather easily in straight sets ...

Lost this aces bet yesterday with Nadal vs Verdasco even tho it didnt look too bad at the end of the third set with Nadal two aces aces behind but then this match lasted longer than I thought it would be and Verdasco went for broke almost every time trying to serve an ace which paid off with 2 vs 8 aces in 4th + 5th set for end results of 12 vs 20 aces .

Will try this prop bet again , this time I think it looks better than yesterday tho as this is WTA and its very unlike for someone to have over 10 aces .
Serena would need to have 5 aces more for me to lose this bet , I think bookies are a bit off with this ... just because Serena had 10 aces against Dementieva doesnt mean she will have same amount against Safina who has more reach than Elena and will touch many balls even if they dont land on the court anymore still they wont count as an ace .

Now lets see how many aces Serena served against Dinara Safina in the past ...

Last year two meetings on hardcourts : Serena 4 aces vs Dinara 2 aces and Serena 3 aces vs Dinara 2 aces at US Open .

Out of her last 50 matches Safina never allowed more than 5 aces which has also happened just once against Venus Williams so even if Safina isn't going to make an ace today which I think is unlikely because she can serve strong if first serve % is right Serena would need 5 aces to beat Dinara . I will lay - 200 wood on a player who never allowed 5 aces in her last 50 matches not to speak was beaten by - 4.5 aces handicap .

In the last 5 meetings Roger Federer never had more double faults than Nadal .

This is just a stats play as you can see and anything can happen in a tennis match but Roger never makes a lot of DFs and probably 2 double faults by Rafael would already give us atleast a push . Stats back up this play and at even odds worth a try I believe .
