With both Qb's new and coaching changes [off co.] Is the
UNDER a better option? Just wondering
Aside from the names of Berry and Foster who everyone knows, look for these guys to make big plays:
G. Jones - should line up at QB for a few snaps. big time playmaker
G. Williams - monster LB who has waited 3 years to blow someone up
Morley - the other hard hitting Safety
Warren - TE transfer from FSU. Looked freakish during fall camp.
warren could be an all-american THIS YEAR in clawsons offense. TE injuries was the Vols biggest problem early last season. hes a bigtime player in a keyrole that the vols desperately needed
lucas taylor was a 1k yard wr last year and will be about the 5th most valuable offensive weapon this year .
i really expect clawson to make a statement tonight and dont know if fulmer can hold him back from scoring a lot of points. lot of key west coast recruits will be at the game and the vols want to celebrate for 4 quarters.
just hopethis wont be like the georgia game last year where the vols get a 35-0 1st half lead and quit playing.
I took the Vols for a few reasons:
- I like Jon Crompton and I think he is a nice fit for Clawson's offense. Therefore, I expect little, if any, drop off in UT's QB play.
- UT's OL is experienced which should offset UCLA's DL to some degree
- Berry and Morley at S for the Vols
- Lennon Creer and Gerald Jones are very nice playmakers on offense that will give UCLA some trouble.
- UCLA is on their 3rd string QB and scoring has been a problem of theirs. I know it's a new staff, but I don't feel the personnel is there yet, even though I have tremendous respect for Chow and Neuheisel as O coaches.
- UT feels like they are being slighted and they want to make a statement
- UCLA doesn't really know how to win. You may laugh at this, but anyone following football long enough knows this is a real statement and concern.
- No one expects much from UCLA this year as they are "rebuilding".
