tebow could end up being an nfl caliber qb but it's going to take a shitload of work.

i seem to recall predraft when he was doing tryouts or was at the combine, or both
and the buzz was that he had fixed his release time (he brings the ball down to his hip before throwing)
every time he is on the field he reverts to the tim tebow we all remember who has mechanics that are good enough for college and not good enough for the nfl
will take a lot of work to fix his "throwing of the football" , he might even be out of the league first, then have to make a comeback, because it could take that long

any NFL GMs who actually believed that he had "fixed" his mechanics between the end of his last game at florida and before the nfl draft should be fired and banned from making any personnel decisions in any capacity at any level. for life

Only Skip Bayless (the asshole) and this guy love Timmy boy. If you think he got abused @ home vs the Lions, wait till he gets to Oakland. He'll find out what hatred really is. They may just mercifully knock him out! He won't play QB, and he's way too slow to play any other skill position. LB? Maybe 3rd tm. Nice kid unlike Leaf, but will meet w/the same fate IMO!!

Well, for starters, Greg Olsen has been playing TE since at least high school, he has great hands, runs great routes, and can read defenses. We already know Tebow can't read defenses. What do we know about his ability to catch in traffic over the middle? His blocking ability? How is he as a route runner?

Your comparison to Greg Olsen makes no sense. He's one of the best TEs in the league and you somehow think Tebow can all of a sudden convert to an elite TE? Put down the Kool-Aid, dude. Holy fuck.

Illini just got OWNED

As GM of SheBar's FF league team, last night I joyfully traded in our low scoring New England defense for the available Oaklands who will be spending the next six nights dreaming of how easy it is to sack, to intercept and to strip the football from the slow-witted, poor decision-making Tebow this coming Sunday.

The first time I ever saw this kid play, I said that it was a lock for him to win the Heisman. Didn't think it would be in his sophomore year, but he's about the best college player I've ever seen.

It may or may not be at QB. I still think he has a good shot to make it as a QB. But line him up at tight end if you have to.....this kid will be a great player at the next level.

I don't know why everyone is so quick to criticize him and say that he has no future after college. You just can't teach what he does.

Funny thing is many say he is the greatest college player ever, the guy wasn't even the best college player at UF ever.

Danny Wureffel (sp) was. 4 Straight SEC titles. Btw, Leake was the QB for the first title.

Illini just got OWNED

Hahahahah. Yeah, I got owned, because I forgot that Greg Olsen played tight end in high school and learned how to run routes, and Tebow can't go back to high school to learn that shit, so there's no way he could learn how to run a pass route.

I'll tell you who got owned. Everyone who talked non-stop shit about the Cardinals game after game for 6 weeks and lost their ass fading them and doubling up the next series. World Champs!

tebow playing a long time in the nfl is almost as crazy as someone coming in here saying devin hester is a hall of famer.... oh wait ..

tebow is terrible and wont be a starting qb in this league ever again after this short lived experiment in denver is over..

Thread was made 4 years ago in his sophomore season. Doesn't look like it will work out at QB, but stay tuned. Story isn't over because a bunch of degenerate atheists that hate Tebow say he's done.

Religious Tebow zealots are usually blind to their own psychosis but will bulldog jaw a sometimes 'illlogical' argument into faithful nonsense for ever. Anyone with eyes can see that this guy and is indecisive, scattered, duck-ball floater and is a misfit as an NFL anything. The only reason that Tebow stirs media emotion is because he is propped up by his religious brethren and that stirs a backlash. Future sports agents are taking notes on this media fraud. Kim Kardishian has nothing on this media drama. Why are we talking about this third string clipboard carrier? It is because of the religious zealotry and second-coming NFL faith that he excites. If Tebow was an african-american do you think white fans across the country would bulldog this nuttiness? This guy is a messed up childhood beauty contest winner with a tiara, not an NFL QB. Sooner his media agency moves his profile into messed up politics the better.

John Gruden said Tebow had a great chance to be successful as a NFL QB. And at least one GM said this year during training camp that Tebow had the potential to be a Pro Bowl fullback. Let's just let it all play out.

#1. Tebow's mechanics are absolutely awful.

#2. Tebow is great for fantasy though.

#3. I am no fan of Tebow, but It really seems John Fox has trotted him out there and set him up for failure to get rid of him and prove his point. I say that because they traded his top WR, and they have not adapted their playbook or put in any special packages that would allow Tebow to use his few strengths. Wouldve been interesting to see if Tebow wouldve gotten it done under McDaniels.

I really dont see him being an NFL QB over the next 5-10 year though. Nice guy though ;)
