The only reason Philly got back to the NFC game was the whole conference sucked! And somehow they completed a miracle 4th down! With all that being said that city has Won ANYTHING since 1980,lol....unless you count the Major Indoor Lacrosse league....the Arena League BonJovi`s will win won before the Eagles do...

They overpayed for Kearse and can have Owens...who will be runnng the ball BTW?

Andy Reid is a good coach and won`t tolerate Owens shit either...

sportsbet,

What exactly is there to be jealous of? Losing back to back Championship games at home? In my opinion that is failure, not success. But I expect that from a Phiwadelphian.

The Ravens are a DECENT team but they are not as good as the Eagles. That is fact not fiction. Don't blame the Eagles for Baltimore's shortcomings. If the Ravens had any real respect in this league TO wouldn't be crying about wanting to get out. Obviously he feels adament enough about it.

Not to mention 2 of the 3 Championship Games were home games...I will have to be honest here though, they have to be favored to make it 4 straight...so thats 0-4 lol

and at least the Eagles made it that far. What has happened to the Ravens since they won the Super Bowl? Where were they the last few years? Since McNabb's been at the helm this team has done nothing but win and win consistently. At least they're making an effort to go out and get the best players they can. When a team that wins as much as the Birds do has more cap room and more money than just about anyone else out there they are doing something right top to bottom.

They will be there again this year. Watch and see

t.o. has been whining about something or other for 8 years. no reason for him to stop now. as far as which team has shortcomings... i guess we will see this year. like i said, they will be playing in the regular season.

sportsbet,

what "facts" are you basing eagles being better than the ravens on?

TO obviously feels the Ravens aren't in the Birds class...I'm not the only one who sees it that way.

Hey I have nothing against Baltimore (Philly's south suburb). We all know convicts like Ray Lewis can thrive in there LOL. You have to be happy about your team when players do everything they can to get out of playing there.

What are you talking about 'respect'? It was the Ravens who had all the Pro Bowl players...I believe that is voted on by NFL peers....What more respect do you want? I would take that over what some jackass like Terrell Owens thinks....
How can you say the Ravens team isn`t respected? We had the offensive and defensive player of the year and went to the playoffs with a rookie QB and a backup, all with no real passing game....
How many more times do you think the Eagles can choke on golden opportunities, you only get so many chances in this day and age of free agency/salary cap! PULEASE!

Journey you're killin me!

I just think when you put the Eagles and the Ravens side-by-side with the current players and coaches and say "which team has a better chance of winning a Super Bowl" the Eagles win that comparison.

Don't get me wrong I would rather see Baltimore in the bowl than Shittsburgh but Owens is a star regardless of his antics and he makes plays. The Eagles now with Owens, Kearse and Dhani Jones have made themselves even better and they're not done. The Ravens holes are still holes.

I think if TO respected the Ravens and thought he had a chance to win a Super Bowl there he would've played there. Obviously he feels strongly enough about it to make this big a deal about it and that says something about the Ravens as an organization. It took them til the final minute to realize Owens didn't want to be there...and now they only get a 5th round pick? Even you have to admit they didn't exactly do a great job handling the situation. Newsome was saying to the final day Owens would suit up in a Ravens uniform. Oops!

One fact is clear, like JMan says the entire NFC sucks, true, so the Eagles have a much better chance to get to the SB than the Ravens. The AFC playoffs next year should be just as competitive as the recent season. Indy, Denver, KC, Tenn. New Eng. (natrually) and even Miami, all can be compared favorably to the Ravens. They may win their division, but I can't see the Ravens winning the conference anytime soon. Especially with Jamal (off-field), and Ray (injuries) Lewis both questionable for this season.

I will give you that...the IGGLES are closer to winning it all, but not by much pal...

And I don`t see your point in saying they have been NFC runner up 3 straight years, big deal! Oakland and Dallas have finished in the championship game many more times, but who remembers those losses? ...

I actually like the Eagles so I don`t care to knock them, but this Owens clown is the ultimate 'you know what'! Yes he can play, and yes he makes the team better...Who is going to carry the ball now?

OK but you have to admit regardless of whether you like him or not Owens has proven to be one of the most productive wideouts in the modern era and the Eagles hit a big home run today getting him on their roster and addressing a major problem for them in the championship game (catching the football!).

I say NFC runner up because as it was pointed out previously it's difficult to be as good as they are (consistently!) in today's age of free agency and salary caps. Oakland and Dallas were running up years and years ago when you had most of the same players year after year!

Westbrook and Buck will carry the ball (to answer that). Deuce was on his way out because he is the oldest of the 3 backs. The Eagles will be fine at running back.

They're doing the same thing at defensive back. Vincent and Taylor were showing signs of age and were getting beat more than they ever had last year (not to mention numerous nagging injuries). IMO they are going in the right direction and making an effort to get this team over the hump.

Journey at least you can give us a little credit here! I mean the Eagles are doing what they can to get the best free agents in the uniform.

Willy you mentioned win or rebuild...the Birds are kind of doing that as they go.

Trotter...what has he done since he left? Not much!

Hugh Douglas..who I loved here...he didn't do very much for the Jags.

Brian Mitchell...great for the Birds..they let him go and he was the bust of all busts for the Giants.

I mean these are a few examples but the Eagles know what they are doing up in the front offices. I agree nothing measures success like a Super Bowl (Ravens fans) but I think the Eagles are doing more to achieve the ultimate goal than Baltimore is (sorry!).

more power to the eagles. let them have all the free agents. championship teams are built, not bought. by the end of next season, the eagles will still only be the second best team in the nfc.

btw sportsbet,

in case you hadnt noticed, the ravens are coming off a rebuilding themselves. this will be the third year since the salary cap purge. will be interesting to see what they can do now that they wont be the youngest team in the league.

RPM you're right...but the league has a cap. This is really the first year the Birds have "spread their wings" and gone after all these talented stars at one time. They have the cap room to do it...most teams don't but if they could switch places with the Birds on this they would in a heartbeat!

You're right...if Billick can put his ego back in check and let his players have fun playing the game you have a chance.

I've got nothing against the Ravens...it just so happened they were the team that got the short end of the TO deal.
