We are on an 11-6 Bonus Play run the last 17 days!

The Pirates and the Rockies pushed the closing total on Friday night, sailed OVER on Saturday night, and we feel they will also head OVER the total this Sunday afternoon in the series finale.

Consider Paul Maholm is 2-1 with a 1.83 ERA at PNC Park this season, but on the road the southpaw is just 2-2 with a whopping 5.77 ERA!

His counterpart Jorge De La Rosa is coming off a home start in which he allowed 7 runs in just 2 innings of work, as De La Rosa dropped to 0-5 in his home starts this season with an over 8 ERA.

With Sunday's starting pitchers sporting such glaring numbers, we feel the hitters will be dictating the action in this one, and the runs will be adding up.

Play on the OVER in the Pittsburgh-Colorado contest.

$20.00 Guaranteed: Sunday's baseball slate finds a DYNAMITE TOTAL that oddsmakers completely missed. This is a terrible total that oddsmakers whiffed on, so go inside the numbers and exploit this 3-Star Baseball Terrible Total, then cash! 6/20/2009

3* (903) Brewers at (904) Tigers: Detroit is a terrific park for pitchers, a large outfield, and for this game BOTH teams have an ace on the hill. Milwaukee righty Yovani Gallardo is quietly having a great season, at 7-3 for the first place Brewers with a 2.93 ERA. He doesn't walk anyone, is super-tough to hit and has 85 Ks in 83 innings. The Tiger offense has been slumping all season and needs to face a weak starter to get going, but that's not the case here. Magglio Ordonez said on his benching this week, 'It's embarrassing.' He is 35 and in the middle of a clearly miserable season at the plate, at least relative to Ordonez's past skills, with just 11 extra-base hits and he has two home runs. It has been a baffling exhibition and it has been on display since Ordonez joined the Tigers full-time following March's World Baseball Classic. At least they have ace Justin Verlander going, with a 2.57 ERA his last three starts, plus for the season he has 110 Ks in 90 innings. Look for a lot of strikeouts and few runs. Play the Brewers/Tigers Under the total.

Game: St. Louis Cardinals @ Kansas City Royals

(918) Kansas City Royals -$105

(Listing Meche and Wainwright)

Royals starting pitcher Gil Meche is pitching very
well. Meche has not allowed more than two earned
runs in six straight starts and is starting to look like
the ace of the Kansas City staff again. Meche has
also dominated interleague play, posting a
14-4 record. His .778 winning percentage against
the National League tops all active pitchers with at
least 20 starts and I look for him to pick up another
win here against the Cards. Play on the Royals.

The Twins look to bounce back from a disappointing loss Saturday, but their bullpen does not figure to implode twice in a row, and Glen Perkins has flourished in interleague play.
If not for a rare bullpen meltdown on Saturday, we’d be talking about the Minnesota Twins chances for a sweep today. Instead it’s about Minnesota winning the rubber game of the three game series vs. the Houston Astros.

The Twins get the nod in terms of starting pitching today. Glen Perkins, who is 3-0 with a 3.96 ERA in four interleague outings, gets the call for Minnesota. This will be his first appearance against the Astros. He’ll be opposed by Wandy Rodriguez who has been up and down this season, but lately down, real down.

Houston hopes the “Wanderful One” can turn things around today. Rodriguez who hasn’t won since May 20th, started out 5-2 with a 1.83 ERA in his first nine outings but is 0-4 since with an ERA of 7.00. Wandy is also 5-6 with a 5.02 ERA in 14 interleague starts.

Both teams can bop. However there’s no better 1-2 combination in baseball than Joe Mauer and Justin Motneau. The Astros are no slouch though with Carlos Lee and Lance Berkman.

Minnesota is 7-4 in its last 11 games and is now 8-3 in interleague play. The Twins are also 24-13 at the Glad Bag Dome while the Astros are 14-17 on the road. Even though the Twins are still smarting from Saturday’s late inning loss, I think it has created a better value for us today.

Look for Perkins and the Twins to win today and capture yet another interleague series.

Pick: Twins -122

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Seattle Mariners:

Total 7½ un-110

After starting the week 0-2 on Free picks on a couple of cheap losses we have now gone 3-0 and continue to win the games. We are 8-3 in our last 11 Free Picks! I'll continue to give out a Bonus Play per day for a while and Father's Day will be nothing different as this one was very close to being a premium play here today.

The same series between the Diamondbacks and the Mariners that hurt our chances of a perfect POD week when the Mariners scored 4 runs in the Bottom of the 8th in Game 1 to go on to win 4-3 in that game. I recovered with a POD winner yesterday to move to 4-1 on the week so no harm no foul on the POD front. However, as the Mariners are going for the sweep I'm on this game for 2DIMES!

The line opened at -175 in favor of the Mariners to sweep. With Felix Hernandez on the mound (2-0, 1.04WHIP, .78ERA) there would be no reason for the public to be betting on them at 78% right? I can agree with that, but this morning the line has dropped from -175 to -160 according to my sources and while I do expect the Mariners to win this game it will be closer than many think.

I think Vegas is expecting a solid performance out of LHP Doug Davis and for Davis this has to be frustrating that he is going up against an ace in Felix. Why? Davis is just 3-8 despite a solid 3.72ERA on the season! No huge bounce back start spot here he was okay in his last start going 5.2 giving up 3ER what catches my eye is he has to be frustrated and the fact that he has a 2.10 ERA during the day vs. his 4.83ERA at night. Many people tend not to pay too much attention to stats like this, but I view them as a critical part of my capping, because pitching is all about routine and preparation. Davis has only had 2 bad starts in his last 10 outings so it's not crazy to say he'll pitch well.

Felix on the other hand should be just as dominant as he has a 2.00 ERA during the day compared to 3.07 night.

Notables: Under is 6-1 in umpire Johnsons L7 time behind home plate. Under is 22-5-1 L28 games on grass for the Mariners.

Analysis: Member Play: Ace CC Sabathia (6-4, 3.67 ERA) looks to continue his success against NL foes when he takes on the Marlins (34-36) - the only team in the majors he has never faced. Sabathia went 11-2 with a 1.65 ERA in 17 starts with Milwaukee last year, and is 15-2 with a 1.95 ERA in his last 23 outings versus NL clubs. The left-hander improved to 11-3 with a 3.62 ERA in his last 23 interleague starts Tuesday by allowing three runs over 7 2-3 innings in a 5-3 win over Washington. The Yankees will go up against a starter they have never faced for the sixth straight game Sunday when they get their first look at Chris Volstad (4-7, 4.75), who has posted a 7.66 ERA in losing four straight starts; however it's interesting to note that the Marlins have seen the total go under the posted number in 21 of 38 games when playing against a team with a winning record. Taking all of this into account, I recommend a play on the UNDER!

Los Angeles Angels -135 3 units

The pitching matchup in this game is Kershaw (3-5 4.13 ERA) against Lackey (2-2 6.10 ERA). Kershaw has been great at home this season with under a 2.00 ERA but on the road his ERA is 6.75 in six road starts. Lackey is coming off one of his better outings from the DL only giving up 3 runs in 7 innings against the Giants. The Angels are 9-3 in interleague play this season and with Lackey on the hill at home he is 8-0 with a 2.00 ERA in 10 starts which includes a 4-0 mark against the Dodgers with a .33 ERA. I believe this is a great spot for Lackey to look great at home while Kershaw does his normal let down on the road also the Angels are hitting .277 against lefties this year. We think that this is a good spot for the Angles off a loss yesterday.
