I really hope I'm wrong, but I think online poker being legalized in the US could be the worst thing that could happen to the offshore industry.

We can't even get the owner of this site to address the Synbet mess... Doesn't that tell you the state of the offshore industry ? For the record , if I owned this site, and I had threads and banners up for a shop that I was promoting as a Platinum shop , I would be coming in here and explaining myself on what has transpired...... not hiding somewhere........

EZSTREET DOES PAY.. Find my one just one other example where they didn't. You won't. A scammer got caught cheating and didnt get paid.

Total BS and the supposed evidence spewed here was BS as well.

I don't want to get into specifics of law stuff that I don't really understand.

What I think I understand is that if poker is legalized in the US, then it will be for US only companies, sites like PokerStars will still not be allowed to accept US players, and it will only give more incentive to the US government to force out any "illegal" sites still accepting US players. That would include any sportsbook that happened to have poker as well.

I completely understand why people are divided on the cory issue. It wouldn't be contraversial if it was clear cut. I don't think people that feel that EZ should of paid are morons. It's a tough issue. I just happen to fall on the other side...

I guess I live in my own happy world and forget how cynical people really are. I simply created thisthread to share how surprisingly good customer service and payouts have been for me in the last month or so. I thought it would be something people would be happy to hear.

I mean it wasn't long ago that there was a Heritage thread about a check bouncing. that worries a lot of people. I got a check about a week later for the max amount and it cleared overnight.

I wanted to share good news.

95% of the ones trying to persuade others that Offshore is about dead are those who are local bookies or supporting them, and WANT Offshore to collapse.

Those who have a clue can see right through this...

You as a rep of therx really need to learn how to treat your customers "the posters".

You above any other mod throws more posters under the bus telling them how stupid they are.

There is a way to state your opinion without trashing your customers.

Every single time someone disagrees with you you always say that the poster has some kind of agenda.

What you do is very bad for business.

Have you lost your mind?

You are getting me confused with TheRightSide who is actually calling people.

Show me one post where I made one comment calling anyone "stupid" as you just stated, like you basically just did, and how RightSide did.

And it's not coincidence that IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME FEW POSTERS LIKE A THOSE IN THIS THREAD who are always stirring the pot.

Everyone else here has become immune to the same ol' BS the same group spews...

Heche for some reason I cant quote your last post. I thought I was on PR for a second.

Im not going to turn this thread into a pissing match.
The only way I can have a deep conversation about what I posted would require me to turn this thread into something that this thread was not intentioned to be.

So I will just say like this:

Read my post to you, then read your last post to me that I was trying to quote.

Lets just agree to disagree.

But I will congratulate therx for doing better these last few months.

But I have a hard time believing that legal online poker in the US would have a positive effect on your sportsbetting possibilities:
I think it's not too far fetched to believe, that the government will make sure that companies, who will be allowed to offer legal online poker, either have no sportsbook at all or to make sure that your deposits aren't usable for sportsbetting by separating the sportsbook/poker section completely (similar to the separated accounts for Australian sports events and the rest of the world @betfair, where you can't bet/trade on Australian sporting events unless you complete an additional KYC verification process).
I just can't picture f.e. betonline (like Defying mentioned) being able to land a license so they can officially offer legal online poker in the US...at least unless they made major "adjustments" which almost certainly would affect their sportsbook...

I dont think legal poker will help sportsbooks at first.
As a matter of fact legal poker will hurt sportsbooks in the beginning because that would give the Government more reason to shutdown sportsbooks for the reason they would perceive sportsbooks to be competition to the poker rooms which they would now have a vested state in.

With all that said looking at the big picture.

I think in the long run I think legal poker will help sportsbooks.

Meaning it will losen the stance of the people and politicians about legalizing online betting in general.

I think the gateway for legal sportsbetting is legal poker.

Just like the gateway for casinos in states that never had casinos was the lottery. lottery took the edge off of gambling in general. Lottery did not make playing blackjack anymore legal then it was before at first. But because of that, casinos became coman in almost every state with lottery later on.

It all starts by putting a crack in the door.

Legal poker is sportsbettings crack.

It wont help them in the near term. But big picture wise it will.

So if I put loads into a crap game that's OK? I DID win the $$$! Taking "the edge" is one thing, but IMO this was flat out cheating.
