Re: Pre-tourney odds

Ladbrokes (UK) 9.00
Bet365(USA) 7.50
Bet365(UK) 7.50

I'm pretty sure those are wrong because I backed P'pousis with several books pre-tournament and took 20/1, 25/1 and 28/1 (on an exchange). I can't say for certain but I would be almost certain he wasn't as short as 7.50 with Ladbrokes because that was the sort of price they had Agassi at.

As for SIA...pay the man!

And why not just post the correspondence here...I'd like to see how they justify this.

It doesn't matter what odds other books were going. SIA went 33/1 and intended to go 33/1 so that's the price they have to pay out at to keep their good name.

I'm afraid I've seen it all before with the European book Interbet.com:

Business hasn't been too good so post a few loose lines to attract the mugs, then change the "rules" of the prop and the mugs' stakes when they think they've won. Give them the run around if they grumble. Pretensions to being a genuine honest book become more and more remote by the date. One day...puff!...not seen for dust.

I'd like to hear that Pob and anyone else taking this bet have been paid out. Otherwise I'd recommend anyone with funds with SIA to withdraw them sharpish and tell their square friends to do the same.

Black Rabbit.. they are borderline scummy, but plenty of honest gamblers use them.

Keep your hacking to the truly scummy, the scam books and the casinos with fixed odds.

Welcome POB.

If what you say is the correct analogy of this situation, then I see no way the money should have been taken back. The line was posted and you bet it. The bet was accepted and you won. The money was put in your account, and then removed later. You asked to speak with upper management, they would not oblige.

Seems very bad business on the books part. I would like to see the correspondence as well if you would care to share it with me.

Good luck

So a sportsbook advertises a prop at 33/1 and pays out at 8/1 and you say that's not a scam?

I wouldn't like to see anyone lose their post-up but if SIA don't clean up their act they deserve to be hounded out of business. Changing a price on a winning bet is not a borderline-legitimate bookmaking practice. It is borderline-criminal. If they'd made a genuine error why didn't they speak to Mr Pob about it before the off?

If anyone from SIA is reading this do come on here and tell us where we're wrong.

Nothing Will Happen pat especially when it comes to tennis.

If you guys want something done you'll have to be a little more vigilant about it.

These books don't care and there is noone to tell them they have too.. Welcome to the "free market"

From a betting point of view there's a big difference between 33/1 (guaranteed to be paid) and 33/1 (liable to get the shaft). Gamblers are entitled to know.

This SIA aka Sportsinteraction is a SHIT book. They have stiffed many with these type of tactics. People should not be playing there.

I think the RX should NOT recommend these guys but as it stands people use SIA for the free money hedges/arbs. People will continue to till SIA boots them all. Never going to happen. I've bet dog after dog there and i'm down quite a bit so SIA Loves me and i will continue to play there regardless of your story. The reality is that I don't bet tennis futures at SIA. SIA will not get any action like that from me. I thank you for telling me but as far as baseball ML/RL they are top notch

Yes fair enough areeff. I wouldn't put you off betting your dog action with SIA. You have your eyes open. But the betting public need to know the state of play with them.

since i play now only at one place and if they put up a number and i bet it and they came and took it away, i would be pissed off. i dont look for the best lines...im a square....i bet the number on the board...and if thats what they put up and i bet it thats what they should pay on...ANYTHING else is a scam on the part of the books.

why do we keep getting these bullshit bad line dillemas? for us squares who play a few games here and there and dont give a rats ass on checking around for the best line( yes seymour, some of us dont do this for a living and just for shits and giggles a few times) why does this bull*hit keep happening?

not a straight futures bet, see? It's a prop bet, doesn't matter what anyone else had, these bets move on hardly any money, and who's to say who's price is right and who's is wrong?

i have to agree with the actuary errr sodium pentathol here

That's definitely the right line. I had the field of unranked players to win at tradesports for +3000ish which included all but the top 6 women. So a field player to be in the mens final is about right for +3300

The big difference between mens and women tennis is that you will never see any surprises at all in women's tennis. Always top 5 seeds that win the tournaments.

I'm glad I never make these exotic bets. Last year a friend of mine made on on something and the same thing happened. But he had $100 on whatever it was, but the odds were like 50-1 or something crazy like that. They credited his account but had no problems at all until he tried to cash out.
