Willie, I happen to agree with a lot of those comments, even if it is not MR21's work.
I especially like "It's the party of attack dogs: I'm right, you're wrong, and if you disagree, then you're un-American"
Un-American?! Oh that's being polite. I recall anyone disagreeing with then current policy accused of being part of the 'hate America crowd'. But now, if I don't disagree with Obama I am not doing enough to be a good citizen. It's rediculous. How can I win?!
I guess I need to learn to be a better bystander.
And yes the "conservatives give more time, money and blood than liberals" quote you made was slightly offensive to me. Because I feel most everyone does their best to help others whenever they can regardless of political philosophy.
Funkster, anyone who endorses the vile hate filled and irrational rant of Mr21 in post #25 should not find offended by perceived political generalizations.
I'm from the school of thought that good and smart people can and do disagree, and have said so on numerous occasions. In my book, nothing about any demographic is all inclusive. Even the affluent Republican towns in CT are 40+ % Democratic. The only exceptions to this rule being African Americans, the media and Hollywood, a/k/a the 90%ers.
As for outrage at being called "Un-American"? pure poppycock.
How many times have you been called "Un-American"? Please provide links to Republican leaders or leading commentators calling Democrats "Un-American". To have such outrage, you must have numerous sources.
The truth is the argument goes something like this. A conservative says liberal defense policies make Americans less safe, or liberal border enforcement policies minimize national security, and the liberal responds; "I'm as American as you are, and I won't do anything to hurt this country. I resent you calling me Un-American". You see, the liberals label conservative positions, and they do it so often that their lies become the truth.
One big massive red herring, but you can easily prove me wrong, eh?
