I seriously recommend all posters here boycott reading AM Costa Rica or Inside Costa Rica. Those two places have really become gossip columnists and not news reporters in Costa Rica, as Albo2020 has pointed out. AM Costa Rica has long hated the fact sports books are operating in Costa Rica. They would rather have smelly backpackers come to Costa Rica, than jobs and a better economy come to Costa Rica.

After reading this thread, I went postal on a friend of mine in another thread concerning driving around on restricted days and him bitching about the Gringos here...all I am trying to say is that some people just don't get it...just treat people the way you want to be treatedand fuk these newspapers, they are worse than the states making photos of crimes, deaths, and auto wrecks and putting them on the front and back pages..I guess blood and guts sell these rags of so-called newspapers...
If anyone has anyway of doing this, Id like to send my regards and hope nothing but the best for him. He is a very nice guy and it is sad to see something like this happen. It is very easy to judge if you are from the outside looking in but not everything is the way it is made out to be.

Just echoing other people´s sentiments. David´s a good guy and these rags embellish stories wherever possible to make them more sensational, especially if there´s a sportsbook involved. He´s not some child molestor hiding out in Jaco for Christ´s sake. He´s a regular guy, who got caught in a bad situation and I hope he makes it through this with the minimum of inconvenience to the kid, his family and himself.
