Well regardless, he went about this in the wrong way. Now there is a child, that has the chance of spending the rest of his life in and out of foster care. Big responsiblity to be a parent, these kids need to try harder, or just quit having kids

Maybe you should find out his side of the story....I think the Mom was a crack head or heavy drug user....not giving the kid a good home....David has a lot of patients with his son who is a typical boy...I am sure this will all work out for him....

Agents arrested a U.S. man in Guadalupe Thursday on a charge of kidnapping his 5-year-old son. The man had been

The man, David Albanese, is wanted by a court in New Bedford, Massachusetts, for the abduction. The child was about 3 years old at the time, said the police spokeswoman. According to police, Albanse asked the child's mother for permission to take the boy to Costa Rica for a month in August of 2006. The

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>agreement was that Albanese would return by September of 2006, but he did not, said the police spokesman. Albanese had a brother and a cousin in Costa Rica, said a spokeswoman from the International Police Agency. He spoke a little Spanish and worked at a sportsbook in Sabana Sur, she said.

</TD><TD vAlign=top width=350>Agents arrested Albanese as he was getting into a taxi with his Costa Rican girlfriend near his home in Alto de Gaudalupe, said a police spokeswoman. Albanese had made several recent trips to the beach with a woman companion, said a report from the security ministry.

Albanese lived in various houses while he was in Costa Rica, one in Bello Horizonte, Escazú, according to the police report. Officers from the International Police Agency and the Grupo de Apoyo Operativo of the Fuerza Pública participated in the arrest, according to police.

The child is now in the custody of the national children's institution. Officials from the institution are coordinating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to get the child back to the United States, said a spokesman.

Meanwhile at least two U.S. mothers accused of kidnapping their children are still awaiting extraction in prison. Nicole Kater, arrested in April 2008 and Chere Lyn Tomayko arrested in September 2007, are both in Buen Pastor prison, according to spokespersoins..

For those of you that know David and Cam and are concerned I will point out what is actually going on.

He was charged in Massachusetts with Parental Kidnapping. This charge came without his official knowledge. He was given a letter from the mother of the child and legally notarized. The letter stated no return date. So he left the USA and entered Costa Rica legally.

Since the mother had no place to live after her mother threw her out of her house. The verbal agreement David had with the mother was that once she got a place of her own and a job he would bring his son back to her. This has still not happened as of yet.

Some facts on the Mother: She was removed of custody for two years after she was arrested for a drug overdose. David's mother was issued a Kinship by the state of Massachusetts who had legal custody over Cameron. The Mother was again arrested this past June for Assault and Battery.

Cameron is not in the custody of CR officials as the article states. He is with family and in good spirits.

Another inaccuracy of the article is that David was illegal here in Costa Rica. He has his work permit and is legally working here.

If I missed any points or if anyone has any questions I would be happy to clarify things for you.
