yep king is the best...only thing about king is that he usually only plays teasers or 1q and half lines. very rarely will he put down on a full game or total...but hey as long as he picks winners

And that's the only problem I would have since I live in Vegas and play at the books. Seems he posts plays throughout the day and unless you have an online account, its tough to keep running to the book to place bets.

No reason to just follow one guy, get 10 or so 'sharps' on this and other forums, and play their plays that you also like.

I don't agree with everything sportsmemo.com does, but for $150 they have a season long newsletter with a best bet from each of their handicappers. That is better than almost ANY single service out there!

As for "why use a service", well...........Billy Walters seems to have done ok using this system over the years!

And that is the prime difference between me and KC. If I recall from last year, the vast majority of KC's plays were teasers, quarters, or props. He did post some straight plays, but they were not nearly as frequent.

The only plays I posted last year were full game ATS, overs and unders (though for the Super Bowl I posted 7 props that went 5-2).

Personally, I think it is more difficult to hit these types of plays (full game ATS, overs and unders) rather than teasers/quarters/props. Vegas' position agrees with me, as many books don't allow those teaser/quarter/props type of bets, and if they do, the limits are so low. The reason being? It's easier to beat those bets vs. beating straight wagers.

AI i was also curious about your record from the past 3 years if you have posted it or documented it anywhere. You did a hell of a job last year and i am trying to decide if i want to follow you or Kingdom.

Thanks

I keep detailed records for each type of play so that I can recalibrate/adjust my computer program should I ever need to do so. My prime source of handicapping is from my computer program. Cumulatively, it was:

239-116-2 (67%) the last 3 years.

By year:

2008: 85-45-2 (65%)
2007: 92-47 (66%)
2006: 62-24 (72%)

By play type:

Computer Overs: 49-12 (80%)
Computer Unders: 85-49-2 (63%)
Computer ATS: 105-55 (66%)

Last season, I started to try to parse down my Computer ATS plays to select only the strongest plays, in addition to any others I find by my more traditional handicapping methods. I call these plays my "Personal Plays".

Those are the plays/writeups I linked above in post #13. In 2008 they were 72% thru Week 9, and I finished the season 39-20-2 (66%). I generally recommend following my Personal Plays, my Overs and my Unders. Last season, those 3 types of plays went 80-40-3 (67%).

Also to add, I run my computer program on Tuesday, and share my Computer plays (Overs/Unders/ATS) on Wednesday. That way, you get my plays a full 5 days before the game. I post my Personal plays on Fri or Sat, and update them to add any additional on Sunday AM.

I appreciate that. However, I have no problem setting my ego aside and admit that I just can't seem to get football down to make decent money. I think maybe I have found a niche with NBA and MLB, but I would much rather follow someone I trust in NFL who is established than trust my own plays. Don't get me wrong I don't get crushed, but I hover right around 50% or so.

Hey bronco, was that 50% your our capping or picks thru accuscore? thanks for the great year in nba and mlb.

You can try and follow me but if you do I'll report you to the feds, :nono5:Stalkers.

My approach is to diversify just like stocks, don't put all ur eggs in one basket. This way you don't get burned if one of them has an off year. Find a few very reputable and documented winners (who don't play a lot of plays; i.e., highly selective) and follow them. Handicap the games yourself and as long as their plays don't conflict with ur analysis you've got a formula that may payoff handsomely.

It's worked for me the past couple seasons and I am very confident for my future in sportsbetting (after years of struggling). But I'm also realistic and practical in my expectations; no ones going to consistently hit 70%+.

Aiverson is a tout now?

I prefer not to consider myself a tout. Do I charge about $2/play to my clients in exchange for hours of detailed trend analysis, comprehensive writeups (similar to those linked in week 9 above), and my targeted computer program plays? Yes, I do.

Did I hit 67% last season on those $2 plays, and do I think that is more than a cheap as dirt price to pay for 67% winners? Yes, I do.

Do I think it is fair that "touts" charge $25+ per play, and hit in the mid 50%s if they are lucky? No, I don't.

Do I realize that cutting into a players bankroll by charging $25+/play is counter productive for the player? Yes, I do.

Am I trying to offer an alternative to players who want to hit mid 60% (67% over 3 yrs now) but don't want to spend $25+/play because they don't have a massive bankroll? Yes, I am.

I really am trying to bring a slap-to-the-face of touts who think its their God given right to overcharge and underperform, and they still will get clients. I'm undercharging and overperforming, and will continue my best to do so in the future.

Several members on here charge for plays. Ace-Ace posts all his plays free even though he charges. Nothing wrong with that. Since I like the RX and the community, I still stick around to share analysis, help out where I can w/ questions, and I'll post a play from time to time, but I'm not posting them regularly like I did early last season.

I completely agree with everything AI just said and it describes my feelings at going "tout" last year after many years of free service here at TheRx. There are a lot fewer professional handicappers out there than touts. AI & I have always done this site a solid.

Very honored to be mentioned. I hope this year proves as good as the last 3.5 years. I personally have nothing against touts but I will be posting for free here when I have time. I am actually friends with Cruncher and everyone has to put food on the table so I am not mad at that hustle. Good luck to you all this season, I can smell Titans at Steelers already.

My capping. Based on past research, Accuscore doesn't quite work the same for NFL so I'm going to leave it alone. I'm going to just stick with NBA and MLB.
