The only buffet that I believe is worth paying for in Vegas is the Rio Seafood Buffet, not their other buffet. I think most of them are overpriced, and very average food. Would prefer to grab a hot dog and coke at the NY NY behind the sports bar. And spend my money at the craps table. And I had a $30 plate of spaghetti at the Venetian that was no better than what I can make at home. I think the great food is a myth.

Not a myth, believe me.

Vegas has some of the finest restaurants in the world these days.

PS- Plus they have IN-n-OUT burger joints! :),,,,,,,,not to mention BAJA FRESH MEXICAN GRILL. Two fabulous fast-food joints.

In and Out is great. But I've had all the supposedly great buffets, and was not impressed with Bellagio, Mirage, etc. $40 for food that simply takes up space in my gut that could be filled with beer. Maybe it's just me, though.

No, you are correct.

The majority of the Vegas buffets are WAY overrated, especially if you are not comped.

PS- An unknown very good buffet that most tourists will never try is THE ORLEANS. Always enjoy eating there personally.

i think we're staying on freemont street, so we'll be able to visit all the cheap buffets. I'm excited about the stratosphere-the roller coaster sounds awesome.

Who's we're? Just curious. Thanks. Don't blow it all at once. And have a good time. :smoker2:

One real quaint little place on the corner of Main and Fremont Experience is the Golden Gate Casino's little walkup restaurant. Some of the best deli sandwiches in town and 99cent big shrimp cocktails. Piano player bar is usually active with a talented keyboardist. Carson Street Cafe in Golden Nugget is also very good.

The best buffet in that neck of the woods is the Main Street Station, with friday night's oriental/hawaiian theme buffet an absolute heaven to the palate:103631605
