Skyla, you must be pretty old or have older people in your life. Your statement about the winning team will score more in one inning than the total for the game of the loser is something I think I first heard about 35 years ago from an old bookie. Funny thing it still runs pretty true even today but maybe not quite as much. It would be interesting to see some data on that but who or why would someone waste all that time on it to begin with. Im 36 years old. You are right, it is an old saying and I heard it from a ex ball player and I do use it as part of my capping. I do check the stats on it throughout the season and if you just randomly pick a day during the season, at cbs sports or wherever, and look at all the games, you will see just how many games it is true for. More than people would think. The Yankees this year score in bunches in the 7th and 8th innings, usually cause of a big inning. Just kinda a fun fact. Very cool how you heard it 35 years ago like that. Some things just stand the test of time
