Hammy, I lost you....

Your post started in a very legit way and it seems your right when you point out that a non advertising book would have been treated differently, however I fail to understand what the original issue has to do with sexual attitudes ( gays ).

The book your talking about is not a big out. They have glitches in their software ( this has been so all along the way with the phone portion of that particular software ).

Customer service and ticketwriting is reported as being in the need of improvement.

Yet I do not understand why you mix a legit complaint and clarification request with UB and gays.

Please cool off.

My 2 cents....

Hammy, I'm not questioning your initial post. Yet I believe you should avoid personal bashing. You've made your point very clear and if you do a quick search on past posts you'll even find more supportive material to your position.

However you should avoid ( don't bite me please
icon_wink.gif
) mixin' up legit issues to childish name calling. It makes you loose credibility and I trust you want to avoid that.

Cool off man.

peace

Dream, i do not disagree with you but you should also realize that a thread ni the RR is not a serious one anymore.

Please look above and note where the thread was placed in the RR. If you see name calling prior to that, I would be rather surprised.

Listen guys. I have been working in IT my entire carrer now. We implement, upgrade and change software on a daily basis.

The gentleman's comments above almost made me reach for a bucket.

We "NEVER" "EVER" test software using live data.

Peace

Hammy,

I have read the thread. You posed legit questions, got no or vague answers. However the whole thing went off initial track and ended up here in the RR.

You wanted answers, you got the RR. But ( don't bite
bowdown.gif
) its your fault too.

Leave the General alone, walk out, take a deep breath and come back, start a new thread,be less aggressive and get the answers your looking for.

Don't fall into the bashing trap though, otherwise your gonna end up in the RR again.

Peace

Vegas, notice how Ken ignores my question about whether or not he thinks that it is advisable to be testing the software on new clients.

I asked Ken whether or not LEGIT shops test drive their software on their clients.

He never answered, never even tried. Big surprise

Breakfast

Anything is possible buddy. I can see clerks making keying errors. But software upgrades, should never be tested using live master files.

I can't believe this thread is still going. Why is that? Dog's agreed to pay. Wasn't that the whole point of this discussion? Hammy said he shouldn't, everyone else said he should and he agreed to pay.

Hammy, hurry up and get that law degree and then go straight to the public defenders office and get paid for arguing no win cases.
